BPSS means the recognised standard for HMG for staff vetting which comprises verification of (1) identity, (2) employment history, (3) nationality and immigration status (including the right to work), and Criminal Records Bureau check (including a five (5) year address history check).
Siemens means Siemens AG (Germany) and its Affiliates.
ACS means “asset-controlling supplier” as that term is defined in the Cap and Trade Regulations.
WGS means the Whole Game System and the procedures for the operation thereof as determined by The FA from time to time.
Biometrics means a technique of personal identification that is based on physical, physiological or behavioural characterisation including blood typing, fingerprinting, DNA analysis, retinal scanning and voice recognition;
TPS means a third party supplier which is authorized by law to sell electric service to a customer using the transmission or distribution system of Duke Energy Progress.
CEMS means continuous emissions monitoring system.
Spectrum Compatibility means the capability of two (2) copper loop transmission system technologies to coexist in the same cable without service degradation and to operate satisfactorily in the presence of cross talk noise from each other. Spectrum compatibility is defined on a per twisted pair basis for specific well-defined transmission systems. For the purposes of issues regarding Spectrum Compatibility, service degradation means the failure to meet the Bit Error Ratio (BER) and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) margin requirements defined for the specific transmission system for all Loop lengths, model Loops, or loss values within the requirements for the specific transmission system.
GTCs means these AVEVA General Terms and Conditions, which includes those terms and conditions set forth in the main body of the GTCs, and all of the various exhibits, addenda, and other documents incorporated into the GTCs.
Interoperability means the ability of a CenturyLink OSS Function to process seamlessly (i.e., without any manual intervention) business transactions with CLEC's OSS application, and vice versa, by means of secure exchange of transaction data models that use data fields and usage rules that can be received and processed by the other Party to achieve the intended OSS Function and related response. EMS means emergency medical services.

HSS means the Health Support Services, a Board governed HSP.
Supplier means the successful bidder who is awarded the contract to maintain and administer the required and specified service(s) to the State.

SCCs means the standard contractual clauses for the transfer of Personal Data to third countries pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, and implemented by the European Commission decision 2021/914, dated 4 June 2021.
APC means the Ambulatory Payment Classification system under 42 CFR 419.31 used by Medicare for grouping clinically and resource-similar procedures and services.
Ecosystem services means the benefits that the public enjoys as a result of natural processes and biological diversity.
CMC means Comprehensive maintenance Contract (labour, spare and preventive maintenance)
ABMS means the American Board of Medical Specialties, which is an umbrella organization for at least 24 medical specialty boards in the United States that assists the specialty boards in developing and implementing educational and professional standards to evaluate and certify physician specialists in the United States. The board recognizes specialty board certification by ABMS.
TDP means “TDP” as that term is defined in the Second Amended Joint Plan or as that term is defined in any Plan confirmed by the Bankruptcy Court.

Supplier’s Manager means a manager who at the relevant time carries such designation from the Supplier under, or in accordance with, ARTICLE 5;
Customer Systems means the Customer's information technology infrastructure, including computers, software, hardware, databases, electronic systems (including database management systems) and networks, whether operated directly by Customer or through the use of third-party services.
ICS means the International Chamber of Shipping.
