Destiny 2: How to Get Seventh Seraph Weapons and the God Rolls | HGG (2024)

Warmind generating Armor Mods were somewhat of a gamechanger when they were first introduced. With the right mix equipped, you can suddenly start spawning massive orbs that range from being explosive to providing health regeneration. While they’re no longer the hot fresh build in Destiny 2, they’re still solid thanks to how well they mesh with Ikelos and Seventh Seraph weapons.

Seventh Seraph weapons were especially sought after when first introduced. Not only due to the benefits of Warmind Cells, but thanks to the unique stats and weapon frames. The original Perk rolls were filled with garbage, but now more than a year removed, they’ve been adjusted to allow for some excellent rolls. Here’s everything you need to know about Seventh Seraph weapons, how to get them, and what God Rolls to look out for.

How to Get Seventh Seraph Weapons

Seventh Seraph weapons were originally introduced as part of Season of the Worthy. They were directly connected to activities involving Rasputin, with all six weapon types becoming available throughout the season. Two were connected to the Season Pass, the rest could be bought early for a large fee from Rasputin or unlocked by completing Bunkers.

Once you unlocked all six, similar to the Umbral Engram system for Trials, you could collect additional rolls through other activities. This included completing weekly Rasputin bounties, Legendary Lost Sectors, or running the Seraph Tower Public Event. The only issue at the time is that there was no guaranteed method outside of purchasing for unlocking each weapon.

Now, the activities from Season of the Worthy have been sunsetted, and Seventh Seraph weapons have shifted into the World Loot Pool. That means that the acquisition method is even broader and you can randomly collect a Seventh Seraph weapon by completing Public Events, leveling up, playlist activities, and leveling up your reputation with the Gunsmith among other things.

Your best option for grinding out potential Seventh Seraph rolls is to earn rank-up packages from Banshee-44. This requires you to turn in just 100 weapon parts, which are earned by dismantling unwanted weapons and armor, to gain a level. While there’s no guarantee, it’s incredibly easy to rack up weapon parts by just playing, allowing you to rack up multiple levels in one go. It’s also worth being on the lookout for when any Seraph weapons rotate into Banshee’s inventory, making it possible to simply purchase the weapons over and over again.

Seventh Seraph God Rolls to Look Out For

Times have changed since their introduction and there are better more specific rolls to look out for with the six Seventh Seraph weapons. Here are our top builds to try for each weapon.

Seventh Seraph Carbine — Auto Rifle God Roll

The Seventh Seraph Carbine is one of the most well-balanced Auto Rifles around and is built for longer-range play thanks to the Precision Frame. It does, unfortunately, have a smaller magazine size, lower impact, and a heavy recoil — this means you’ll either want to mitigate those issues or lean into the range, handling, and stability.

To start, either opt for the Chambered Compensator for moderate stability and recoil buffs in exchange for a handling dip, or switch to Extended Barrel to boost the range and recoil for a larger dip in handling. Either of these can be elevated with your magazine choice, which either expands your clip size or slightly increases your range.

As far as Perks go, look to land Fourth Time’s a Charm along with Rampage or Swashbuckler. Fourth will keep your mag full as long as you land precision hits which ties into the benefits of the other Perks which boost damage in different ways. In short, Swashbuckler is more useful for PVP, thanks to the multiple ways it can pop, while Swashbuckler is best for PVE, where you can more easily chain multiple hits.

Seventh Seraph Officer Revolver — Hand Cannon God Roll

The Seventh Seraph Revolver is a quick-fire Hand Cannon, putting it more in line with a showstopping Sidearm. It’s not especially useful at longer range and has a massive recoil. This means that you want to extend your accuracy at longer distances and minimize recoil in order to take advantage of the quick-firing rate.

Corkscrew Rifling and Fluted Barrel do just that, providing either a large boost to your range, handling, and stability, or a larger boost to handling. Your mag choice fully depends on if you want an extremely large clip or a slightly larger one with additional stability and reload speed. Either option is useful and somewhat depends on what you chose for your Barrel.

For your Perks, go for a combo of Threat Detector and Feeding Frenzy, or Ambitious Assasin and Multikill Clip. The first combo is excellent for short-range combat and viable for both PVE and PVP, as long as you can land rapid kills and stay close. The latter is best for PVE, where rapid kills can boost your clip size and damage creating a continuous output loop.

• Perk 2: Feeding Frenzy or Multikill Clip

Seventh Seraph CQC-12 — Shotgun God Roll

The Seventh Seraph Shotgun has incredibly well-balanced stats. It’s designed to allow you to move, packs a massive punch, and has very little recoil. To elevate it further, focus on stability, clip size, and damage output.

To start, opt for a Barrel that increases your range, stability, and handling. Then increase your clip size and decide if you want increased fire rate or additional stability and reload speed. From there, it’s up to you to decide how you like to play with Shotguns.

If you’re a fan of sliding when in combat, take advantage of the buffs from the Slideshot Perk. If you want more chances to fire, use Auto-Loading Holster. Then try to land Vorpal Weapon to increase your damage output against more difficult enemies. It’s, unfortunately, the only true great Perk in the second slot, but it could be far worse.

• Perk 1: Slideshot or Auto-Loading Holster
• Perk 2: Vorpal Weapon

Seventh Seraph SI-2 — Sidearm God Roll

A good Sidearm is built around unloading the clip and quickly reloading. You want to be firing off as quickly as possible, with the confidence that you still have ammo left or can quickly add more. On top of that, you want to be sure to offset the range and kick of this weapon to keep your firing accurate and able to handle enemies from a longer distance.

Fluted Barrel will help take care of your Handling and Stability issues. Tactical Mag or Appended Mag are viable for extending it, but the decision purely comes down to how much ammo you want. Then it’s up to you to decide how you want the Perks to augment the weapon.

If you want a faster firing rate, go for Full Auto Trigger to turn it into a rapid-fire weapon. If you’re worried about fights up close and the overall stats, go for Threat Detector. Lastly, whichever you choose for the first, try to land Dragonfly. The focus on precision and explosive damage, as a result, can truly make the already deadly, rapid-fire weapon a pure powerhouse.

• Perk 1: Full Auto Trigger System or Threat Detector
• Perk 2: Dragonfly

Seventh Seraph VY-7 — SMG God Roll

SMG’s are excellent for Warmind builds. Possibly the oddest thing about the design of this one specifically is how it’s built for a longer range, but lacks impact, handling, and reload speed.

The Fluted Barrel will help take care of the stability and handling problem. Just like the Shotgun, your clip choice then fully depends on if you want to just purely expand your clip or further balance out your base stats with a slight mag increase.

Then there are the Perks. This SMG includes some unique options, such as Firmly Planted, which encourages effective crouch play for benefits. Throw in Feeding Frenzy on top of that, and you have a fairly effective way to enhance your reload speed if you’re playing correctly.

• Barrel: Fluted Barrel
• Magazine: Appended Mag or Tactical Mag
• Perk 1: Firmly Planted
• Perk 2: Feeding Frenzy

Seventh Seraph SAW — Machine Gun God Roll

The SAW is an iconic Machine Gun at this point. It has a slower but more powerful firing rate and increased range. This is all in exchange for lower stats on virtually everything else, making it more akin to an effective Grenade Launcher or Linear Fusion Rifle.

To start here, focus on Increasing your handling and taking a dramatic stab at minimizing your recoil. Then, be sure that you keep any rolls with Ricochet Rounds to extend action scenes and improve your range and stability. From there, you have some options.

Field Prep is great if you’re actively crouching between firefights to activate the boost. Auto-Loading Holster is equally useful but does require you to switch out your weapon, meaning you’ll need to focus on increasing your weapon switch speed with Mods. For the second Perk spot, opt for Vorpal Weapon or Firing Line. You know how Vorpal Weapon works and why it’s useful, but Firing Line is somewhat unique in how it increases damage when near your team. Not the most perfect assortment of Perks, but decent enough to run in PVE.
