Killer Frost is a name used by several female supervillains and superheroes appearing in comic books published by DC Comics: Crystal Frost, Louise Lincoln, and Caitlin Snow. All three usually have some connection to the superhero Firestorm.

Weaknesses. Power Instability: Frost will die unless she regularly absorbs heat. This extends to areas of extreme cold for too long. This in turn makes her immune to overheating.

Killer Frost's Comic History

The original Killer Frost, Crystal Frost, first appeared in Firestorm #3 in 1978. She was a student studying under Martin Stein who fell in love with him, had her heart broken when she was rebuffed and wound up being locked in a 'thermafrost chamber' turning her into a heat vampire.

Killer Frost is an antagonist in the DC Universe, serving as the secondary antagonist of the Firestorm franchise and media, and a supporting antagonist in the Justice League and Suicide Squad franchises.

With a vendetta against Firestorm, she would fight the nuclear hero for years, on her own and as a member of the Suicide Squad and Injustice League. The third and current Killer Frost is Dr. Caitlin Snow, a scientist at S.T.A.R. Labs.

The beloved hero was killed when she transformed herself into the perfect weapon by becoming Hell Frost to take on Deathstorm (Robbie Amell). While she did save the day, her death was a major blow to the team and for her sister, Caitlin (Panabaker), it's a loss she's not quite been able to get over.

Desperate to show her loyalty to Savitar, she jumped at the chance to kill Tracy Brand, who would become a problem for Savitar in the future, but was insulted by the armored speedster for failing to kill her, mocking her decision to call herself "Killer Frost" when she hasn't actually killed anyone yet.

She is the daughter of Carla Tannhauser and wife of the late Ronnie Raymond. She was given metahuman abilties by being hit with dark matter from the S.T.A.R Labs particle accelerator. She used her powers rob stores and obtain money and began calling herself "Killer Frost".

Charlie's death deeply affected Caitlin's mother, and she became cold, violent, unfriendly, and antipathetic. Caitlin was affected by the S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator, giving her cryokinetic abilities. Since then, Caitlin cut off all ties to her past life and began calling herself "Killer Frost".

Following Savitar's defeat, Killer Frost changed considerably in The Flash season 4. As Savitar pointed out, she never actually killed anyone during her time as a villain, so she was never too far from being a good person. Even so, becoming a hero didn't come easy for Frost.

The Flash season 7 recently introduced Kristen Kramer, who wanted to arrest Killer Frost for her crimes on behalf of the Governor's Municipal Logistics Commission.
