How does gilded chalice work? ›

Gilded Chalices belong in the third value tier of "Gold". Picking up and placing Artefacts on a Ship for the first time gives Emissary Grade Reputation to Trading Company Emissaries representing the Gold Hoarders or Reaper's Bones. All Artefacts can be placed inside any Container Chests.

Select CHALICE RITUAL at a Ritual Altar in the Hunter's Dream, and then select a Holy Chalice and an offering in order to conduct the ritual and unseal a Chalice Dungeon. When using a root chalice, the structure of the unsealed Chalice Dungeon will change each time the ritual is conducted.

While killing each creature will certainly lead to a wealth of Blood Echoes, what the player is really after are Chalice Ritual Materials. After keeping the ones needed to make more dungeons the player can sell the unwanted ones for Blood Echoes, often fetching a high price for them.

Chalice rituals let you create chalice dungeons, which are pre-generated or random generated based on the type of chalice you use to make them. Basically dungeons are their own thing in the game, and you can explore dungeons to find all kinds of loot.

The Pthumeru Chalice is a item in Bloodborne, that allows player to combine materials to create a Chalice Dungeon. You must be at one of the Tomb Altars in Hunter's Dream to do this. The Chalice Dungeon is static and never changes Bosses, design, or loot.

Chalice Dungeons in Bloodborne are vast underground ruins deep beneath the city of Yharnam. They offer a chance to experience Bloodborne's sense of exploration, danger and reward in all new ways. Hunters can access these multi-leveled dungeons by performing a Chalice Ritual.
