Renting out your home through Airbnb is a great way to advertise your holiday rental property, especially if you intend on having guests throughout the year rather than just during peak seasons.
As a successful holiday home is often occupied all year round, your property is likely to receive a steady influx of guests. This is great, but it also increases the risk to your treasured property and the furniture within it.
We can arrange insurance for different types of Airbnb rental including:
Properties occupied by the owner/host.
Holiday accommodation combined with other uses, for example, longer-term AST lets during ‘low season’.
Year-round holiday accommodation.
Serviced accommodation.
Properties leased on ‘rent-to-rent’ contracts.

Insurance for your Airbnb
You need the right protection to ensure your property is covered. Run your holiday rental business safe in the knowledge you are getting the best cover for your money with our Airbnb insurance.
Your policy could include:
Buildings Cover the costs associated with rebuilding or repairing your property following events such as fire, storm, malicious damage etc.
Contents Cover for loss or damage to contents within your properties.
Public liability Cover for tenants, guests, and third parties against injury, illness, or damage to their property arising from your property.
Employers' liability Cover for employees against illness or injury sustained in the course of working for you in relation to your accommodation.
Loss of income Cover for your loss of income should the property be uninhabitable due to buildings and/or contents damage covered by the policy.
If you do not make your insurers aware then your policy could be invalid. Most standard homeowners insurance policies exclude cover for short-term rentals and would also exclude cover for malicious damage or theft by people lawfully in the property, so this type of policy is not suitable.
While Airbnb does provide limited cover for damage caused by guests to your and third party property and your liability in relation to your guests, you do still need buildings and/or contents insurance to cover all other losses such as fire, theft, storm, flood, escape of water etc. Not all insurers accept Airbnb arrangements so you would need to make your main property insurer aware of your intentions.
