Do you prefer fast food or homemade food?
Homemade is usually better tasting and healthier. Also, you know that it's prepared in a clean environment (or not). Restaurant is better than fast food if you're dining out for a special occasion, or simply want to take time and enjoy the meal. I do enjoy fast food from Subway, Panara, and McDonald's.
At home we can also cook just enough food to satisfy us. In a restaurant we are often given too much or too little food on our plate. Finally, eating at home is much more comfortable than having dinner or lunch in a public place. At home, we can be more relaxed than in a restaurant.
One of the benefits of home cooked food is that you have control over the nutritional value of the food you eat. Depending on the recipe that you are using, you can buy the healthier and nutritious ingredients to meet your needs. With that, you will avoid eating bad food in some restaurants.
Fast food is popular because the food is inexpensive, convenient, and tastes good. Fast food may include refined grains instead of whole grains, contain saturated fat, cholesterol, and added sugar, and it can be high in sodium (aka salt) which is used as a preservative and makes food more flavorful and satisfying.
People who frequently cook meals at home eat healthier and consume fewer calories than those who cook less, according to new Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health research.
Eating at home is better for you, too. Meals at restaurants are often high in fat and calories, and they serve big plates of food-much more food than you need to eat at one meal. If you cook food at home, you have more control over the ingredients.
It is faster and easier for us. But the truth is, eating at home is usually a much better choice. Research shows that we consume more calories, fat, and sodium and less nutritious foods when we eat out instead of at home. We have more control over what goes into our food when we are in our own kitchen.
Firstly, eating at home is much less expensive than eating in a restaurant. Obviously, when we eat at home we do the preparation, cooking and serving of the food ourselves and, therefore, do not need to pay the labor costs of cook, waiter and other restaurant staff.
Fast food is considered convenient food that is an essential source in today's life, because it is cheap, fast and easy to access, and even nutritious at times. Fast food restaurants provide warm, fast-served food in such a low price.
Fast food isn't necessarily bad, but in many cases it's highly processed and contains large amounts of carbohydrates, added sugar, unhealthy fats, and salt (sodium). These foods are often high in calories yet offer little or no nutritional value.
Is fast food healthy for you?
Fast food is typically loaded with calories, sodium, and unhealthy fatβoften enough in one meal for an entire day. It also tends to be low in nutrients and almost totally lacking in fruit, vegetables, and fiber. That doesn't mean you have to avoid fast food entirely.
Homemade meals usually supply fewer calories, fats, sugars and sodium than most fast foods. With your busy life, you might find it easier and faster to grab fast food on your way home from work. But this convenience comes at a price. Research has shown that homemade meals tend to be healthier than takeaway.
I mostly like to eat homemade food that includes rice, fish, bread, vegetables, curry, sweetmeats, noodles, salads and cheese. Among restaurant and street food, I love to eat pizza, sandwiches, hamburger, fish, fish taco, french fries, and of course, different types of ice-creams. Q.
