Its a "Pyraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaminx"

Issa thicc Pyraminx. Not much else to say. Turns well, great challenge on a boring day. Ball bearings are a good strength and corner cutting is passable. Its pretty big, so it probably won't fit inside a WCA backpack. Worth the money, though. Looks great with the Yuxin Little Magic Pyraminx, Master Pyraminx, and Timur's Royal Pyraminx.

Love this pyramid

It turns really well I like the feeling of the pyramid. If you can solve a master pyramid or just a regular pyramid then you should get this one. It's way different and harder than the master pyramid and There are no good tutorials online so you'll have to figure it out by yourself. It's not super hard, I learned by myself in just 4 days but It is a fun challenge. In my opinion it's worth $33.

Wonderful!

This puzzle is excellent for a non-wca puzzle, which as a puzzle solving fan who has been spoiled by good speedcubes, makes me very happy. The plastic feels quality, the shades are great, and I have always loved black internals. Haven't lubed it, and doesn't need it. You could easily speedsolve this puzzle if you wanted to. Honestly might be fun to try to optimize a method. For me it solves a bit like a greatest hits of several tetrahedral puzzles, but this one has parity! Luckily it is pretty easy parity to figure out, at least if you understand why parity happens in general. If you have only every solved a regular pyraminx this will be pretty hard for you. If you are more experienced it could be decently easy, but hopefully wouldn't be boring to anyone.

Awesome!

I got this pyramid as the $25 mystery puzzle. 100% worth it!

Great puzzle

Another Yuxin banger, this puzzle turns very well for not being a speedcube (not in comps), and the solve is really fun and brings out stratergies seen in many other puzzles, super fun solve, I would also get the smaller master pyraminx (4x4 pyraminx) to go along with it

Looks great but needs work

Customer service gets 5 stars! I ordered the YuXin 5x5 Pyraminx, but had issues with a piece continually popping out. Customer service replaced it without question and received a new one in no time. Now, same issue with the new cube. This was a gift for my son and he's not really playing with this anymore :(

FAQs

Is the Pyraminx hard to solve? ›

Solving a Pyraminx is much easier than a Rubik's Cube. It has 3,732,480 possible permutations which is relatively a small number (similar to the 2x2x2 Pocket Cube), so a personal computer can easily go through all of the possible scrambles.

What is the minimum moves to solve a Pyraminx? ›

4b3d) Square-1: The (random) state must require at least 11 moves to solve. 4b3e) 5x5x5 Cube, 6x6x6 Cube, 7x7x7 Cube, and Megaminx: sufficiently many random moves (instead of random state), at least 2 moves to solve. 4b3f) Pyraminx: The (random) state must require at least 6 moves to solve.

Can you solve a 5x5 like a 3x3? ›

After solving the centers and pairing up the edges, you can now effectively solve the cube as if it were a 3x3. The centers you have formed on a 5x5 are equivalent to the single centers on a 3x3, and each group of 3 edge pieces is equivalent to a single edge on a 3x3 cube. The corner pieces are the same on both cubes.

Is 5x5 cube hard to solve? ›

While this puzzle is tricky, it can be solved as long as you carefully follow an algorithm known as the reduction method. First, focus on learning the Rubik's cube shorthand, as this will make the algorithms much easier to understand and follow.

Is a 5x5 Rubik's cube harder? ›

Actually there's not a big difference, if you solve both with same method. Talking about parity, then it will occur in both of the cube (But kind parity is different in both cube). At first, one will find difficult to solve center of the cube in 5×5 then in 4×4. So because of this 4×4 is easy to solve.

Which is harder, Pyraminx or 3x3? ›

In general, the Rubik's cube is considered more challenging to solve than the Pyraminx due to its higher number of possible combinations and the fact that it has multiple layers that need to be aligned correctly. On the other hand, the Pyraminx has a simpler mechanism, making it easier for some people to solve.

Which is easier, Pyraminx or 2x2? ›

And unless I'm using a different method, the single algorithm (of 4 moves) is repeated a different amount of time for solving the corners compared to solving the centers (at least in the method I use). 2x2x2 is not just edge-less, but also center-less; basically a corner-only 3x3x3. Pyraminx is indeed super easy.

Is Skewb harder than 3x3? ›

The Skewb scrambles and solves by corner twisting, but unlike the Pyraminx, when turning the puzzle the centers rotate around the axis as well. The Skewb can also be solved intuitively, and is an easy puzzle to pick up after having learned to solve the 3x3.

What is a 5x5 Pyraminx called? ›

The Professor Pyraminx is the 5x5x5 version of the Pyraminx puzzle. Similarly to how the Rubik's Professor's Cube is the 5x5x5 version of the original Rubik's Cube.

Is there a 5x5 Pyraminx? ›

The YuXin 5x5 Pyraminx is a beautiful puzzle. With excellent build quality and fluid turning right out of the box, it makes a great gift for solvers of all abilities.

Is a 5x5 cube harder than a 4x4? ›

Are Bigger Cubes Harder? Bigger cubes are not inherently 'harder' to solve than smaller cubes, but they involve a lot more time and many different types of pieces that have to be solved. This means that there are so many permutations of pieces possible and thus, the entire process of solving seems harder.

Is there a 6x6 Rubik's cube? ›

The V-Cube 6 is a 6×6×6 version of the original Rubik's Cube.

What is the fastest 5x5 Rubik's cube solve? ›

The fastest time to solve a 5x5x5 rotating puzzle cube is 32.52 seconds, achieved by Max Park (USA) at the DFW Megacomp 2024 event held in Grapevine, Texas, USA, on 16 March 2024.
