Why can Zenitsu only use form one of breath of thunder? | Fandom (2024)

I know his senior Kaigaku can use all but the first form because of how he wields his sword but what about Zenitsu?

There are two major reason for this:-

1. He started training very late compare to other demon slayers (Tanjiro started at 13, while Inosuke and Kanao are started from childhood. Inosuke's breath style is self thought) Himejima is a exception

2. Thunder breathing is really hard to master. the less the attacks of the breathing style directly derived from sun, the harder to master it. Remember Kaigaku is the first student of Jigoro, but he can't manage to learn the first one.

3. And we know, Zenitsu's nature!

Yeah I agree with you, but come to think of it, Jigoro might point it out earlier but he didn't cared about it. But I saw another reason in chapter 145:- (pardon my English)

And earlier when he was a demon slayer, he used to hold his sword on his waist:-

Hah zenitsu was the one who is trained from his childhood and he already mastered the first form and compete hellish training said by jigoro before tanjiro.

And other thing about first form only allow user the insane speed that's why zenitsu was faster than kaigaku and everyone else because he use it to master level this is the reason that zenitsu is afraid of dying just because he don't know other 5 form which is strongest thunder attacks used by kaigaku... And first form is used to decapitate head after using other 5 forms so the 6 other forms play important role. Kaigaku who was strong never be able to learn first form just because his pride he never learned it. The reason he think it is basic form it is useless it is easy to learn for anyone so i won't do it. As we seen tanjiro using this form directly without learning in just first try to decapitate hantengu. So i think kaigaku had pride and decided to never learn that beside zenitsu know this form it actually push his pride up to never learn. Zenitsu who master in speed because first form. And kaigaku who was slow because he never learned first form but being extreme powerful level. Both together were become the perfect level of Hashira just like jigoro got title of roaring hashira as Master of thunder user.... He got title not because he can do sun breathing but he was actually thunder user it actually tells how much underrated and powerful lightning speed(first form - Zenitsu ) + lightning attacks (5 other forms - kaigaku). Both were incomplete for being successor kaigaku who mastered in long range electrical forms was lacking in speed. Ans zenitsu who mastered in godspeed level upto 500km per hour (hulu official stated when zenitsu cut tongue demon head it was 172km so fold version willl be 2x more fast and godspeed will be 5x fast because it breaks bone of legs the speed not a single person can reach even with using thunder breathing first form without mastering. because zenitsu mastered it to the utmost limit.) i just think one thing the mangaka wanted a buddy with tanjiro which is zenitsu beside inosuke... If he gave him all 6form zenitsu would be called as hashira level person just by knowing this form is actually powerful. So he gave him 1 form and we actually see Zenitsu going for everyone and how strong and fast is first form. I mean tongue demon, enmu tentacles, daki's ribbons, daki softest neck (daki mastered her neck not to be cut by one sword because it is not strong but soft that it bends tanjiro tried it already. It need to cut from both directions)still zenitsu managed to cut her half with just one time godspeed shown the level of utmost speed. Even zenitsu who know how first from work came with 7th form which is kind of teleportation a fastest version than godspeed a naked eye cant see. This was too much faster than kokushibo actually teleported behind genya and cut his hand off. Maybe this level of speed. Only when he activate the 7th form... So i actually think zenitsu Defeating kaigaku with 7th form does not prove kaigaku was weak but it proves zenitsu crossed his limit of speed. The result would goes same for gyutaro, gyokko if he use 7th form. And as well as hantengu was not able to dodge thunder breathing first form used by tanjiro which was actually lower speed so we can say this is only one of all form which allows blistering speed. That none can reach until he use the breathing. Wind breathing first form is similar to this sanemi goes to the speed of winds but the wind speed he use is limited too. Who can surpass the level of light speed? Not even sound can defeat light. That's why we see sound breathing derived from thunder used by fastest hashira tengens. Actually we are not talking about zenitsu running faster but zenitsu is fast with his first form and he is ultimate fast with 7th form. Kaigaku and zenitsu teaming together will become one of the most Powerful slayers to fight upper moon whether it is kokushibo. Only if kaigaku does not beg for life by looking it is upper one. Because i know zenitsu wont do it he maybe will get not choice to pass out. Again kaigaku is not weak a single form used by kaigaku can be troublesome for gyutaro and daki because it is lightning strikes. Lightning heats. Multiple lightning attacks if he maintains distance from om kaigaku poisoned sickles and have good instincts.
