  • I've got quite a bit to share about these concepts! Wholesale, as a term, spans various industries and contexts, involving the distribution of goods and services to entities other than end consumers. Here's a breakdown of each concept:

    1. Wholesale Customer: In the context of electricity, it refers to a person or entity purchasing electricity for resale within or outside the established system. This could be a company buying electricity in bulk to resell to retailers or consumers.

    2. Wholesale (Dairy Products): This involves selling dairy products to retailers, distributors, or jobbers rather than directly to individual consumers.

    3. Wholesale Service (Telecommunication): As per 47 USC § 251(c)(4), it's the telecommunication service that Sprint offers at a wholesale rate to resellers, which they, in turn, provide to subscribers who aren't telecommunication carriers.

    4. Wholesale Dealer (Cigarettes/Tobacco): Refers to a person or entity selling cigarettes or tobacco products to retail dealers or vending machine owners for resale purposes.

    5. Wholesale Distributor (Prescription Drugs): Any person engaged in the wholesale distribution of prescription drugs to entities other than consumers or patients.

    6. Wholesale Distribution (Prescription Drugs): The distribution of prescription drugs to parties other than consumers or patients.

    7. Financial Products (12 C.F.R. 1805.104): The meanings of terms such as "Development Services," "Target Market," "Investment Areas," and "Targeted Populations" are outlined within this regulation.

    8. Retail (ISP Services): The provision of Internet Service Provider (ISP) services directly to end-user subscribers by a wholesale customer, establishing a retail relationship with the subscribers.

    9. Retail Tobacco Store: A store primarily focused on selling tobacco products and accessories, with other product sales being secondary.

    10. Sale at Wholesale (Motor Vehicle): Refers to selling vehicles to dealers or wholesalers rather than to individual consumers.

    11. Electric Vehicle: A road vehicle powered solely by an onboard electrical energy source.

    12. Wholesale Acquisition Cost: The same term defined in 42 U.S.C. Sec. 1395w-3a, generally used in pharmaceutical pricing.

    13. Wholesaler (Alcoholic Beverages): A person selling alcoholic beverages except for vintners, brewers, or bottlers, who should not sell for consumption on the premises.

    14. Retail Marijuana Store: An entity licensed to buy and sell marijuana and its products to consumers.

    15. Distribution Center: A facility primarily used to store goods for subsequent shipment to retail outlets, excluding specific types of facilities.

    16. Financial Products (SFO): Encompasses securities, futures contracts, and leveraged foreign exchange contracts traded by licensed individuals for Type 3 regulated activity.

    17. Tobacco Products: An array of products related to smoking or chewing tobacco.

    18. Retail Pharmacy: A facility dispensing prescription drugs and devices to the general public.

    19. Specialty Drug: A prescription drug meeting specific criteria, often used for complex or chronic conditions.

    20. Goods and Services: Encompasses various tangible and intangible items or work provided through a contract awarded by a purchasing agent, excluding real property.

    21. Electric Motor Vehicle: A vehicle solely powered by an electric motor using rechargeable energy.

    22. Wholesale Establishment: Any place primarily selling goods for resale or for use in other businesses.

    23. Financial Services (Annex VI): Activities described within Annex VI, subject to extension or modification by the Stabilisation and Association Council.

Each of these terms represents a unique facet of wholesale, spanning industries like telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, automotive, tobacco, and more. Their definitions shape the legal and operational landscapes within these industries.
