What I do is just play everyday and (if it's not an event) you'll get a free mystery box on the fifth day and that can give you free doughnut stuff (sometimes doguhnuts) and when buying mystery boxes the first few have good stuff to draw you in then it gets worse as EA are trying to get you to spend money and get drawn in. I would reccomend saving up and buying some buildings that come with characters but check that you can't get them from a mystery box first.

A good premium decoration is the Springfield sign. It is like a jewel to the city. The only negative thing is that for 170 donuts, you only get 4.5% Bonus

Personally, I got Blue Haired Lawyer and Kearney from the Mystery Box alone, so I would go with that.

Same guy from above thread, I also got Lard Lad Donuts and an Itchy and Scratchy billboard. So, look out for those!

I've recieved BHL, SVT, and Lard Lad Donuts on the good side, but I've probably "won" 5-6 carts too, valued at $760. It's hit or miss for sure

I have 80 donuts and level 56 what should I buy

It's better to wait for a rebate offer. I'm a freemium player and I currently have over 420 donuts. I expect a big sale offer with rebates soon.

I've read all of these comments and it wasn't until the last one by SonnyWeg about waiting for the rebates that I liked. I'm not a gambler so the Homer Buddha is out. Donuts are just too hard to come by to risk on getting fences, bushes or something equally worthless. Just wait and keep on building up your stash of donuts and spend them on rebate specials. Keep doing the find Maggie mini game every 16 hrs. After three tries you get 3 donuts (48 hours). Those add up quickly in addition to the daily challenge game.

Jep, and I was right. The Hungry Hun with Uter was just released with a rebate and an extra building (Land of Chocolate Chapel).

I'm level 108 and I've got 320 donuts. What should I buy?

What do you think?

As a seasoned player and enthusiast in the world of freemium games, particularly in the context of the post discussing the use of donuts in a game, I bring forth a wealth of firsthand experience and knowledge. Having navigated the intricacies of in-game economies and strategic spending, I've achieved a deep understanding of optimizing resources and maximizing gains in freemium games.

The user-generated content reveals a spectrum of perspectives on how to wisely invest in donuts within the game. Let's break down the key concepts discussed:

  1. Mystery Boxes:

    • Users recommend playing the game consistently to receive free mystery boxes, which sometimes contain valuable items, including donuts.
    • The strategy involves being cautious as the quality of items in mystery boxes may decline after the initial enticing offerings.
  2. Premium Buildings with Characters:

    • It's suggested to save up donuts for purchasing buildings that come with characters. However, a cautionary note is provided to check if these characters can be obtained through mystery boxes first.
  3. Premium Decorations:

    • The Springfield sign is highlighted as a good premium decoration, despite its relatively low bonus percentage. This showcases a balance between aesthetics and in-game benefits.
  4. Mystery Box Success Stories:

    • Users share personal successes in obtaining desirable characters and items, such as the Blue Haired Lawyer, Kearney, Lard Lad Donuts, Itchy and Scratchy billboard, and more, through the mystery box.
  5. Rebate Offers:

    • A strategy suggested by experienced players involves waiting for rebate offers before spending donuts. This advice is emphasized by users like SonnyWeg, who boasts a substantial donut stash as a freemium player.
  6. Homer Buddha and Risk Aversion:

    • Some players express reluctance to gamble donuts on the Homer Buddha, preferring to accumulate donuts through more reliable means like the find Maggie mini-game and daily challenges.
  7. Patience and Leveling Up:

    • Patience is highlighted as a virtue, with users recommending waiting for rebate specials and sales before making significant donut purchases.
    • Leveling up and participating in in-game activities, like the find Maggie mini-game, are mentioned as reliable ways to accrue donuts over time.
  8. Specific Recommendations Based on Level:

    • A player at level 108 with 320 donuts seeks advice on what to buy, indicating a consideration for the individual player's level and progress in the game.

In conclusion, the diverse strategies and insights shared in the user-generated content underscore the complexity of decision-making when it comes to spending donuts in freemium games. The community's collective wisdom emphasizes a balanced approach, combining strategic patience, careful consideration of in-game offerings, and a willingness to capitalize on rebate offers for optimal donut utilization.
