Dfa Apostille

An Apostille is a certificate that authenticates the origin of a public document. It is issued by a country that is party to the Apostille Convention to be used in another country which is also a party to the Convention. On 14 May 2019, the Philippines became a party to the Apostille Convention.

If you wish your document to be attested by UAE, your document should be apostilled by DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) not more than 3 years before you submit to our office. This is a requirement by UAE and we can help you with this.

For DFA Apostille of Public documents, please follow the steps below.

  1. Identify your document if PUBLIC or PRIVATE document. Please click here to know more.
  2. Download and complete the SPA templateand have it notarized by an attorney. For guidance on filling up the SPA template pleaseclick here. Should you have further questions please contact us via phone or email below. If minor, a parent may complete this.
  3. Complete the requirements below:
    1. Download and complete theDFA Apostille Submission Checklist and Declaration Form.
    2. Original document/s to be Apostilled by DFA
    3. Notarized SPA. If minor, a parent may complete this.
    4. Copy of passport or valid ID of the applicantwith 3 specimen signature on the side(passport or ID should have photo and signature). If minor, a parent may complete this.
    5. Prepare the applicable fees. For fees, please click here.

  5. Important – Please note that processing time of DFA Apostille will depend on the availability of appointment slots in DFA. We cannot submit your documents if there are no slots available. Once your application is submitted, the DFA may process this within 5 working days.
  6. When documents are released from DFA, we will immediately send it back to your return address via courier (LBC).
