I try my best to eat cleanly and workout 5-6 times a week but let’s be real here – I deserve a “cheat” day here and there. Maybe some cupcakes for dinner, a dozen donuts for breakfast, and now this – vanilla bean root beer floats.

But with my clean mentality, I couldn’t help but useDreyer’sSlow Churned Ice Cream for these root beer floats.Withwholesome ingredients likenonfat milkthat’s churned together slowly, you get ridiculouslyrich and creamy ice cream with1/3 fewercaloriesthan regular ice cream. So yes, bring on the ice cream, and tons of it. And then be sure to generously pour on that bubbly, foamy root beer!

And before I forget, I should let you know that Dreyer’s has some amazing seasonal flavors that are only available through the end of August so be sure to stop by the store soon to stock up!

  • Take the Cake:Yellow cake flavored light ice cream mixed with blue frosting swirl and bursting with multi-colored sprinkles. It’s the classic combination of cake and ice cream in one convenient carton.
  • German Chocolate Cake Spectacular!: When you mix rich chocolate light ice cream with a caramel coconut swirl and brownie pieces you get a Limited Edition flavor every country can enjoy.
  • Sunny Salted Caramel Pretzel: This tasty treat is a twisted mix of vanilla light ice cream with a salted caramel swirl and pretzel pieces. It’ll tie your taste buds up in knots. Yummy, yummy knots.

But if you miss the Slow Churned Limited Edition summer flavors, don’t worry. Pumpkin and Peppermint will be available in early September, so you can enjoy new fall flavors soon!

  1. I think (and I don’t think I’m wrong) that salted caramel is the best thing that was ever, ever invented.
