A brand-new online course brought to you by Liz Horobin of Patoss in partnership with Rachel Ingham and Helen Wells of SEND Solutions. Understanding and Supporting Learners with Dyslexia Level 3. Accredited by CPDSO.

How does it work?

Entry requirements: successful completion of Understanding and Support Learners with Dyslexia Level 2.

Level 3 involves completion of a practical, reflective task, equivalent to approximately 20 hours of study (Level 2 + Level 3 combined are equivalent to 33 CPD hours).

The course is delivered entirely online, via a bespoke Moodle platform. Delegates have 6 months in which to complete the Level 3 assessed task.

Level 3

The Level 3 qualification permits you to put into practice your learning from the Level 2 modules through a practical, reflective task.

The 800-word written task requires you to demonstrate your ability to

  • work with a learner / group of learners;
  • profile one selected learner;
  • use the Graduated Approach to identify needs, plan an appropriate taught session, deliver the session, and, finally, reflect on its effectiveness and any next steps.

The task is marked by a link tutor who will provide detailed feedback to further support your professional development.

As well as achieving accredited certification on completion, you will also be eligible for Affiliate Membership of Patoss, to continue your professional development and awareness.

Timings/Access

Once delegates have booked and paid for the course, the admin team will email with log-in details to access the course which is hosted on Moodle. The Admin Team's working hours are 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday. Access is forsix months.

Payment Options

  • If paying by card please ensure the billing address and card address match. If your card payment will not go through, select invoice instead and pay over the phone by calling the office on 01386 257808 and quoting your invoice number.
  • If paying by invoice, access will be given on payment of that invoice. Delegates will need to check withtheirown finance department to see when the invoice is paid.
  • If paying by BACS, delegates will need to give our finance department a day or so to link the payment to the invoice which will activate access.
