Value investing can be a lonely pursuit, but there are a few special places where like-minded investors can share ideas. Here are our five favourites:

Value Investors Club

The undisputed king of value forums is Value Investors Club. Managed by fund manger Joel Greenblatt, the ideas are generally high quality because full membership requires a vetting process by existing members. However, you can gain free access as a guest and read ideas more than 90 days old, which, in many cases, is still well worth it for the originality of ideas and depth of research.

Corner of Berkshire and Fairfax

Berkshire and Fairfax is a more interactive value-oriented forum. You can post any question you like and there are plenty of helpful souls about to offer advice. There is a $30 fee to post, but you can read the content for free.

Reddit – Value Investing

Reddit in general is hugely popular – even Bill Gates posts on it. The value investing 'sub-reddit' is little slower moving than some of the general investing forums but if you want to feel like part of a community, this is it.

GuruFocus Forum

GuruFocus Forum isn't as popular as Corner of Berkshire and Fairfax but there is plenty of discussion on stock ideas and value investing strategies.

Financial Wisdom Forum

FWF is a large finance forum, not specific to value investing, which covers everything frominvestments and retirement planning to tax matters. You'll probably have little interest in 90% of what's posted but if you're after sheer breadth of topics, look no further.

If there are any other forums you find useful then please feel free to drop the details in the comments section below.
