I saw a day trading ad during an NBA Game. It sounded fun. But found out most people want $10K for “training” – not fun. I did a podcast search instead to see what I could find for free during my daily commute. I found the Forex Q&A podcast. I would say I had an average understanding of the stock market – no understanding of Forex.
I started listening in January, and quickly saw results. I put about 10-15 hours a week into learning and demo trading using the no nonsense methods (nights and weekends). I applied to become a professional prop trader in May. Passed the courses, simulator trading, and demo trading required by my firm by August. I was a funded professional prop trader by September.
Now, I trade with firm capital, and only spend 30 minutes at night trading. I can trade the markets while still working my full time day job and spend plenty of time with the family.

After studying Forex with no great success over 5 years, but never blown an acount – I immersed myself in NNFX about 9 months ago – I have a net profit of 2300 pips in the last 6 months.
How? 10 reasons

Back in early January of 2018 I started my shift from working in the animal & murchent trade industry to more activities that involved less time and space. I started my journey March 17, 2017, when I discovered Apiary Fund. A year and a half latter I was funded. I found VP’s No Nonsense Forex channel in 1918 when he started his program. How I got interested in Forex I don’t remember but before NNFX I was getting frustrated with my trading – all that news was taking my money away (we are not talking about profit) I had to stop and evaluate myself. Somebody said – when the student is ready , the teacher appears. And what a teacher I had found. VP is great, he has his style, but besides, from the goodness of his heart, he gives us all his wisdom. he doesn’t give you fish, he teaches you how to fish. There is work involved, lots of work, lots of trying, lots of errors, but he points you in the direction and you make it yours. You make the algo, you believe in it, you put 100% of back testing, front testing and this way you gain confidence. VP guide you, cheer you up, gives you lots of tools that took him many years to find, perfect, put together, lots of important information. All this together gave me confidence enough to try for FX prop firm. Last Friday I signed the contract and got funded. The process of being funded is not easy, they wont give you money unless you prove yourself, you can handle many different and difficult tasks, you may have to come out of the comfort of your algo that you build over the time, but in the end its worth it. I got funded, I can trade with my algo – they just want you to be profitable – and couldn’t be at better moment. Now that everyone has to be home for who knows how long I have my dream “job” – independent, for ever. With no prior experience of the financial markets, I was introduced to the world of FX in September 2016.

I spent the first several years learning the basics of Forex and then looking for the holy grail like so many others. I started listening to podcasts and researching mentors (even bought a few of their courses). I kept seeing the same things over and over. They were all trying to sell something and they all were teaching the same “dirty dozen” based strategies and none of them worked nearly as well as they said they did. I finally came across the Forex Q&A podcast and something caught my interest. He was talking about his Forex views in a way that would deter a majority of strategy hoppers, and he didn’t care. He wasn’t trying to sell anything! This gave me a confidence in what he was teaching that I haven’t had with anyone else.
So after binging on all his available podcasts and Youtube videos, until I caught up with his weekly releases, I began building and backtesting an algo.
In October 2019 after backtesting and forward testing my algo I signed up for the FTMO funded account Challenge. I had to adjust my strategy a few times in order to adhere to they’re unique risk perimeters and aggressive targets, but after 3 months of falling just shy of my Challenge target, I was finally able to hit my Challenge Target in February 2020. In March 2020 I passed the verification stage and am now currently funded.
Although I’ve had to adjust my algo so it is not structured quite like VP describes, I was able to combine several elements of his algo structure with another strategy I learned along the way (not dirty dozen based) and create an algo that works really well.

I stepped on VP nononsforex way of trading Forex two years ago.
I started from scratch, not even knowing what a PIP is. From there, a pencil in hand, I digged all the content. one video at a time, the algorythme was groing like a frail child creatin it way. I backtested every change and tweak until it mature.
It was a really long and harsh process, can’t even tell how many indicators I backtested, at least 10 a week but anything worth it takes hard work.

Hello and welcome to my story… 🙂
My love for trading started when I was 16, looking for some books in the library. Books showed me, there is another way, and that changed my life forever. Most of the trading books are about Stocks, so I started learning that… but that wasn’t quite the one for me (too many variables, capital reasons too) so I swop to Forex. I cannot begin to thank you enough for this educational resource you have developed over hours and hours of labor and effort. Ten years ago I landed a sick job and had 54k in profit on my hands , I got into trading stocks and was fortunate enough after a year of chasing penny stocks to be dead even. I have a Ph.D. I bring this up for two reasons:
First, you DO NOT need to be highly educated to employ this system, you just need dedication. This is basically the only requirement, everything else you can learn with diligence.
Second, this man’s course provides you with a graduate-level education for FREE! There’s no doubt about this.
In January 2019, when I found this channel, I didn’t even know the FX market existed. I was just doing some research to hopefully manage my own retirement portfolio. This was actually fortuitous, as I had few bad habits to unlearn.

Like a lot of folks, my introduction to NNFX was by landing on the ‘Big Banks’ video on YouTube. I was only on YouTube at all because I was trying to figure out if Forex was a valid way to make money from home or whether it was one big-ass scam.
I was in the middle of a bout of depression and I was just trying to figure out if Forex was a logical way to make additional income whilst also giving me some family time back. With the 5M-chart, 7-screen, rented-Ferrari TikTokers it won’t be but with the NNFX methods it will.
It’s a lot of work, and it takes time. I started watching and note-taking with NNFX in May 2019. I went pro with Maverick in July 2020. This was with me working on my Forex education in some capacity every day and with me running my own small account from about August 2019 onwards.
Doing FX properly takes time but it’s worth it. VP will show you the direction but it’s up to you to make your way there. It’s a cliché but you really do need to put in the work.
Also, don’t be afraid to try your own sh*t. It’s the lesson VP teaches a lot but not explicitly so may miss it. Try sh*t, and if it works, then chalk that up as a win. Good for you, lad. Take the NNFX framework and try stuff out (on demo/backtest). There is no downside to trying things as long as you do it in a safe environment.
Furthermore, big shout out for introducing me to Jocko Willink and James Altucher. Along with VP, these are three men who’ve put my life back on the right track.

It was last November(2020) i happen to hit YouTube channel the name itself got my attention and was curious to know what it is all about No Nonsense forex.
I went through every content on blog, YouTube & Podcast making notes, i never wanted to fail in Forex Trading anymore with lots of losing streaks for 6 years. When i learnt and picked up the indicators to build my algorithm, my ego started to dominate by taking up Prop Firm Challenges immediately. In Dec 2020 I saw Big Banks video. That’s when my forex trading journey started. NNFX made life easier by providing the strategy to build my system. Finding and testing all the indicators was not easy but it was worth it. Finding NNFX late after 2020 has an advantage that there is a community now who will help you when you need it. Apart from VP there are many in the NNFX discord community who can explain things with a different perspective.

The most important thing I learned wasn’t the strategy, it was learning HOW TO DEVELOP a strategy. I’d never seen that before. Previous to this the closest I had was one that I reverse engineered from a paid service I signed up for, but I never knew WHY I was doing things, only that this checklist told me to. Watching the videos in order forced me to learn things along the way that I didn’t think were as important, like Risk Management and Discipline (man I still hate that word!). I started investigating trading as a financial option in 2018. I was then working as a Fisheries Biologist in Tanzania managing the marine conservation program for major NGO. Disgusted about the waste and financial misuse, I decided to start investing in myself. I found the Big Banks video of NNFX and from then on was hooked. I waited for new videos and then researched them after and continued to do so until the start of COVlD. In Jan 2020 I moved my family back from Tanzania to South Africa because of the information I was hearing from Eric Townsend (recommendation from NNFX). Luckily I managed to save 50% of my salary for a year, which allowed me to pursue my trading ambitions. My philosophy, get in and get trading, so I did. I passed first time my prop firm challenge, and have subsequently be given a live funded trade account. I am finalizing a metals algo to add to my portfolio and I have been trading crypto gaining valuable experience. NNFX has also helped be look at developing an investment portfolio, and has allowed to to research more efficiently and not be intimidated by the financial game. Knowing I have some security though trading, I have engaged my passion of marine biology and am doing a PhD using the alternate light wavelengths observed by glowing sharks to redesign fishing gears that work in alternate light spectrums – and I spend time surfing and enjoying family life. The journey is not over, and there will be hard times I am sure, but I am happy, thanks NNFX.

Hi, I started my Forex journey about 2 years ago (August 2020) after watching the first Big Banks video. It was the spark that I needed. I then went directly to the Money management series and watched it from start to finish. I did the same with the psychology series and every piece of knowledge I found there helped me build my own algorithm ( I focused a lot on my money management EA).
Every time I had an “emotion” about my trading, I asked myself: “Could my algo / EA take care of that for me?” 9 times out of 10, I managed to improve my system and it makes my trading way easier. One ting I heard VP say and is 100% true is that you will be ready when you are no longer that excited about your trading. Fears and Thrills come from the unknown. The more you know, the less you “feel” in Forex terms.
I found some of my indicators from hints VP gave and some on my own. I also built one on my own (but it’s gonna stay a secret for sure). With this algo and EA, I managed to get funded (2022-09-05) by My Forex Funds (I passed a 2 phases evaluation, 8% and 5%). I’m writing this on my first live account day and I couldn’t be more proud.
One last thing, trust the process, even if it’s hard at times. you will never be wiser that the system you put together for the last months / years. I still make some discipline mistakes from time to time, but I feel way worse now doing that that losing a trade that I had to take. Discipline, Patience and Perseverance, observe those principles and the world is yours.

I knew nothing about trading. I listened to every video VP put out and took notes, made spreadsheets, and tested a lot.
Follow the rules and if you fail, keep trading. I definitely made a lot of mistakes but I kept at it.
I even tattooed NNFX and it’s chess pieces to my arm along the word Execute. I wanted something to remind me to keep going and remember the training.
I knew the system worked and that I wanted to become a professional trader, eventually I became one.

It provided me with a system/framework (the algo), the concept that trading is really a numbers/probability game, and the process for creating and verifying that I had a way to make money in forex. That is the short answer. To expand a little, it helped me understand the work involved in building the system, and provided all the important details such as: when not to trade (news for example was huge for me), patience in trading, what time frame to trade, how to know when I was ready to do an evaluation – and these are just a few of the details that are important to know in order to be consistant. Started trading back in June 2021, I was watching all the trading videos I could find up none of them hand a good strategy, no money management strategy nothing. While i was watching a support and resistance video I saw the thumbnail that said “Big Banks” arounf July and i clicked on it. Once i watch that video I started devouring all the podcasts, videos and blogs that VP had released. I’ve never seen content on trading like this anywhere before so i was really excited (I even downloaded everything and put it on a flash drive because I thought YouTube might remove the content lol). After I watched, listened and read everything i went on my search for indicators. I workformhome so I was able to put in 5+ hours everyday no breaks. It was hard in the beginning but fun and over time everything became a lot easier. Once I’ve built systems I like I forward tested them, the first versions failed but i started again the second one failed and the third and fourth, until I built something that works really good then i applied for the FT+ firm back in Dec 2022 now hear I am A funded trader. My story is probably like many others, have always been interested in stock investing since my teens (late 30’s now…). I randomly found binary options (had never been a trader, only investor), and as I’m sure you know, binary options are awful and obviously I didn’t do well, but it did whet the appetite and was the beginning of my FX journey.
Once I accepted binaries sucked, I began learning FX, starting with BabyPips. Am an accountant by trade so numbers have always made sense but the instant gratification of trading was too strong still and fell into the main pitfalls many others make. I blew several accounts on either trade copiers that I thought were low risk but actually used martingale or over leveraging what I thought were sure fire trades. Can safely say I lost A LOT of money. I’m fortunate enough to be from the Western world and have decent savings/salary, but it was a painful loss still.
However, somewhere, and for the life of me I can’t remember where, I stumbled upon your channel in the very early days of it (like late 2018 or so, possibly whilst scrolling YT at the gym) and also Duomo Initiative. But your channel just made sense to me and started my NNFX journey and I didn’t look back. I think it took me longer than others and I still dabbled in other trading methods until I went completely 100% working towards becoming a prop trader and utilising NNFX, working nearly every night on backtesting (wife can attest!) and some days when work would allow…
Again, I think it took me longer some others did, but I can absolutely say I’ve put the work in and stuck at it even when forward testing didn’t go to plan or it seemed futile. It feels almost weird to say it, but am really proud of myself for the work I’ve put in and where I am now, slowly but surely working towards the future I want for myself and my family. I’m not the smartest bloke, but I’ve been relentless. I understand getting funded the first time is just another step, but I will keep building from it.
I’ve not recovered that massive loss yet, but to be honest, I’m not fussed, I know I eventually will in a sustainable way that will stay with me for the remainder of my life.
So, honestly, can’t thank you enough for NNFX (and all your investment videos). Apologies for the essay, but it felt quite cathartic writing it all down.

NNFX Youtube channel completely changed the way I approach trading. Yes, the technical side is sexy and you have to seriously put some time into building a system.
