She's the gorgeous English-born chef who's currently co-hosting Zumbo's Just Desserts on Channel Seven.

But Rachel Khoo is apparently shocked at the lack of star treatment behind-the-scenes despite her international success.

According to Woman's Daymagazine, the desserts expert 'complained to anyone who would listen that she was the bigger star and should be treated accordingly.'

Diva? English TV chef Rachel Khoo (R) has 'complained' that she's not been treated accordingly on the set of Zumbo's Just Desserts despite her star power

The source added: 'She would throw tight schedules into disarray and couldn't believe there weren't limos on 24-hour call.'

Rachel, who appears alongside Adriano Zumbo in the desserts cooking competition, is also said to be displeased about the casting of Brazilian beauty Gigi Falanga as floor assistant on the show.

The show marks the Malaysian-Austrian chef's second Australian TV appearance this year, having guest starred in My Kitchen Rules as a fellow judge.

Star power: Rachel has been a huge star in the cooking world, with several books and TV shows created under her name in the UK

Back in her native England, the media personality has built a lucrative career with several book deals and TV shows under her belt.

In April, the author of The Little Paris Kitchen revealed she was excited to work alongside Adriano, who is renowned for his decadent and mind-blowing creations.

'I've admired his work for many years. He's got an amazing talent for making not only stunning looking desserts but also desserts that taste as good as they look,' she said.

Fighting for attention: Rachel is also displeased about the casting of Brazilian beauty Gigi Falanga as Adriano's floor assistant on the show

But despite heavy promotion throughout the Olympics coverage ahead of the show, Zumbo's Just Desserts hasn't had the pull with audiences as expected.

The series has been slammed as 'boring' and a 'rip-off' of Network Ten's Masterchef and LifeStyle Food's The Great Australian Bake Off.

One Twitter user said earlier this week: 'Zumbo's Just Desserts is a poor mans Great British Bake Off hyped for Wednesday.' (sic)

'A masterchef ripoff, OK I can live with that. But #Zumbo has zero personality, & home cooks are weird,' another person observed last week.

Lack of interest: The desserts-themed cooking competition hasn't appealed to audiences as expected, despite heavy promotion ahead of its premiere last week
