I was wondering if there was a specific term with an abbreviation for OPA other than "IPO". It doesn't seem to be an IPO being discussed here but rather a "public offer of purchase".
However, I'm not certain of this term. Is that correct or is there another way of saying it? Or
Am I completely off base and can this be called an IPO? Or, as I have been doing so far, may I simply define it at the outset, as a "public offer of purchase" and continue to call it by its Italian name "OPA"?
