Number of Culver's restaurants in the United States in 2024

As of March, 2024, there are 998 Culver's restaurants in the United States. These restaurants are located in 26 states and territories and 793 cities.

The Wisconsin-founded company already has 970 restaurants across 26 states. Throughout 2024, they are aiming to open at least 51 new ones. Three of those restaurants are destined for Wisconsin. The Paddock Lake Culver's opened back in January.

Culver's, the brand behind ButterBurgers and frozen custard, has grown steadily (and rapidly) since 2019. Not even the pandemic slowed down its expansion, opening 50 or more restaurants a year in the past four years, and poised to reach 1,000 locations by 2025.

However, the rapid expansion of Culver's won't be coming to Las Vegas any time soon. The Las Vegas region marks a completely new distribution center for Culver's, meaning they need to have several franchisees interested in starting restaurants before they can add Las Vegas to its map of restaurant locations.

What is the initial franchise fee? Each new franchisee currently pays an individual franchise fee of $55,000 to acquire a Culver's franchise for the basic 15-year term of the franchise agreement. If you qualify, you may renew for an additional 10 years for an individual franchise fee of $30,000.

Headquartered in College Park, Georgia, Chick-fil-A operates 3,059 restaurants across 48 states, as well as in the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. The company also has operations in Canada, and previously had restaurants in the United Kingdom and South Africa.
