“I Love You” in Italian – “Ti amo”
To express romantic love in Italian, use the word “Ti amo.” As with French, you’ll want to use the appropriate version for different recipients.
- Ti amo = I love you (romantic love), which means “you I love”
- Il fidanzato = the boyfriend
- La fidanzata = the girlfriend
- Il marito = the husband
- La moglie = the wife
- Ti voglio bene = I love you (between family or close friends), which means “you I want well”

“I Love You” in Romanian – “Te iubesc”

“I Love You” in Portuguese – “Eu amo você” or “Eu te amo”

- “Eu o amo” (to a man)
“I Love You” in Spanish – “Te Quiero” or “Te Amo”
