Invitation Codes / Inviting New Users (2024)

  • An Invitation or an Invitation Code is a 10 letter random code that is linked to a specific team in the system. The invitation can be used to create a new Dashboard account or to update an existing account with access to that particular team.
  • Invitation Codes are designed for Coaches and Managers to access teams. They can be reused and they do not expire.

On the Team Dashboard (For Managers & Coaches)

If you don't already have a GameSheet account, create a new account by following these steps:

  1. Go to https://teams.gamesheet.app and click "Signup"
  2. Fill in the Invitation Code and click "Continue."
    1. Note that the invitation code is 10 characters long and is composed of random numbers and letters. If you did not receive an invitation code, contact your league administrator.
  3. Verify that the correct team is listed, and click "Continue."
  4. Fill in the required fields and click "Create Account"

If you already have a GameSheet account, accept your invitation by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Team Dashboard using your existing account credentials.
  2. Tap "More" in the bottom right hand corner on mobile, or click your email address in the top left corner on Desktop.
  3. Click on "Accept Invitation" from the menu.
  4. Paste the invitation code into the field and click "Continue."
  5. Verify that the correct team is listed, and click "Continue."
  6. There are 2 options to choose from:
    1. Do you want to add this team as a New and Separate Team?
      1. If this is the case, then select the option "Without Linking".
    2. If you'd like to link this team to another team that you already have access to then select the option to "Link to an Existing Team".
      1. Select the team from the drop down list to "link" to.
      2. Linked teams will have their rosters synced
      3. Example: A team uses GameSheet for their regular season. The team plays in a tournament that also uses GameSheet. These teams should be linked.
  • The Invitation Codes are automatically generated whenever a new team is created in the system. The level of access / rights is set to "Manager" by default.
  • Each team's Invitation Code in the system is listed on both the Season's Teams page and the Divisions' Teams page.

Invitation Codes / Inviting New Users (1)

  • To distribute invitation codes for multiple teams in your season, click "Download Invitation Codes" on the Season's Teams and Divisions' Teams pages. This will download a CSV file with the names of all of the teams that a user has access to in their season. This file can be shared to provide teams with their invite codes.
  • The codes can be highlighted and copied directly to the teams or distributed through a Club / Association contact person. It is up to the League Administration to distribute the codes, either directly to the teams or through the Club / Association contacts.

Pro Tips

  1. Only share a team's invitation code with the people who should have access to that team. Do not share all of the invitation codes with all of the teams.
  2. Copy and paste the codes for each association and email them separately to the association contact. Have them distribute to each team
