Information on Visa Applications - Embassy of the Philippines in Singapore (2024)

• GENERAL GUIDELINES ON VISA APPLICATION
• Visa applicants are strongly advised to finalize their flight booking only after the visa is granted. The Embassy will not hasten the visa processing to accommodate the applicant’s flight schedule.
• Visa processing time is dependent on the applicant’s nationality. For example, processing could be faster if the applicant’s country has a visa agreement with the Philippines. It usually takes about two to three weeks. For some applicants, evaluation will require a longer period of time.
• Please note that no refund of visa application fee will be made if the visa application is denied or if the visa is approved after the applicant’s scheduled departure.
• The Embassy has the sole discretion to deny the visa or to refuse service to any individual.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

BUSINESS VISITORS or 9(a-1):
A. For business owners
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant
2. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
3. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines – original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
4. Travel itinerary or ticket/flight reservation (entry and exit); please do not book your ticket yet
5. Invitation letter from a Philippine government or private entity or endorsem*nt from a chamber of commerce (recognized by host government) in the country where the business is located – original
6. Proof of business operations or income:business permit, license or registration AND bank statement of the latest three (3) months or tax payments
7. Hotel accommodation reservation or any proof of lodging
8.Singapore-issued identification card (Permanent Resident IC, PE Pass, E Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass)
9. Passport-size photo taken within 3mos of application
10. Endorsem*nt letter from the partner company based in the Philippines

B. For Employees
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant
2. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
3. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines – original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
4. Travel itinerary or ticket/flight reservation (entry and exit); please do not book your ticket yet
5. Certificate of employment with remuneration OR letter of guarantee from the company or sponsor
6. Endorsem*nt letter from the applicant’s Singapore-based company
7. Hotel accommodation reservation or any proof of lodging
8. Singapore-issued identification card (Permanent Resident IC, PE Pass, E Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass)
9. Passport-size photo taken within 3mos of application
10. Endorsem*nt letter from the partner company based in the Philippines

TOURISM OR LEISURE VISITORS or 9(a-2)
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant
2. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
3. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines– original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
4. Travel itinerary or ticket/flight reservation (entry and exit); please do not book your ticket yet
5. Proof of financial capacity: Bank statement of the latest three (3) months along with: tax payments, employment certificate with remuneration, proof of business income OR letter of guarantee from the sponsor with proof of financial capacity
6. Documents proving ties to the home country or country of residence (Singapore) such as employment certificate or property documents
7. Hotel accommodation reservation or any proof of lodging
8.Singapore-issued identification card (Permanent Resident IC, PE Pass, E Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass)
9. Passport-size photo taken within 3mos of application

VISA FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT VISITORS or 9(a-3)
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant or his/her authorized representative (Representative should submit a letter of authorization along with the mandatory requirements)
2. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
3. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines– original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
4. Acceptance letter or confirmation of treatment or appointment from a Philippine medical or wellness institution
5. Proof of medical condition, such as medical abstract from the sending medical or wellness institution
6. Proof of financial means (any of the following): bank statement of the latest three (3) months, pay slips for the latest six (6) months or employment certificate with remuneration (for employees), pension statements of the latest six (6) months for retirees, receipt or confirmation of advance payment or deposit made for the treatment
7. Health insurance policy, if any
8. Hotel accommodation reservation or any proof of lodging
9.Singapore-issued identification card (Permanent Resident IC, PE Pass, E Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass)
10. For minors not travelling with parent/guardian: letter of permission from the parent/guardian with proof of filiation; For escort: letter from the sending medical or wellness institution assigning the foreign national to escort the patient.
11. Passport-size photo of the applicant taken within 3mos of application

VISA FOR YACHTSMEN/SAILORS (9a-4)
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant
2. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines– original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
3. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
4. Letter from the owner/captain indicating the following: port/area of entry, date of entry and period of stay, list of crew and passengers, particulars of the vessel including type, name, registration and call sign, boat insurance policy, cargo manifest, character reference/shipping agent in the Philippines (if any)
5. Passport-size photo taken within 3mos of application
6. Valid Seaman’s Book – original and 1 photocopy of the data page

VISA FOR FILM-MAKING VISITORS (9a-5)
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant
2. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
3. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines– original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
4. Singapore-issued identification card (Permanent Resident IC, PE Pass, E Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass)
5. Ticket or flight reservation (entry and exit)
6. Letter of request addressed to the International Press Center
7. Background of film outfit
8. Curriculum vitae of the filmmaker, including a shortlist of work credits
9. Synopsis or storyline of the film
10. Itinerary of activities
11. List of members of the crew with designations (if any)
12. Employment certificate or contract from the film outfit
13. List of equipment with certification from the film outfit that said equipment will be exported at the end of the trip to the Philippines
14. Hotel accommodation or proof of lodging
15. Passport-size photo taken within 3mos of application

VISA FOR JOURNALISM VISITORS (9a-6)
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant
2. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
3. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines– original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
4. Singapore-issued identification card (Permanent Resident IC, PE Pass, E Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass)
5. Ticket or flight reservation (entry and exit)
6. Letter of Request addressed to the International Press Center
7. Background of media organization, or of contracting media organization (for freelance journalists)
8. Curriculum vitae of newsman/journalist, including a shortlist of work credits
9. Copy of one published article or work of the journalist
10. Synopsis/storyline/purpose of the news
11. Itinerary of activities
12. List of members of the crew with designations, if any
13. Employment certificate or contract from the media company
14. List of equipment with certification from the media organization that said equipment will be re-exported at the end of the trip to the Philippines
15. Hotel accommodation or proof of lodging
16.Passport-size photo taken within 3mos of application

VISA FOR ATHLETIC AND PERFORMING ARTS VISITORS (9a-7)
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant
2. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
3. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines– original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
4. Singapore-issued identification card (Permanent Resident IC, PE Pass, E Pass, S Pass, Work Permit, Student Pass, Dependant’s Pass)
5. Ticket or flight reservation (entry and exit)
6. Letter of request from the applicant’s team, group or organization
7. Invitation letter from the organizer of the event
8. Endorsem*nt letter from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), Games and Amusem*nt Board (GAB), or a national sporting association duly recognized by the PSC/POC/GAB (for athletes)
9. Endorsem*nt letter from the local government unit where the venue of the event is located (for performers)
10. Contract or agreement with the organizer, including promotional materials
11. Itinerary of activities
12. Proof of financial means or letter of guarantee from the sponsor
13. List of members of the crew with designations, if applicable
14. Employment certificate of crew members, if applicable
15.List of equipment with certification from the group that said equipment will be re-exported at the end of the trip to the Philippines
16. Hotel accommodation or proof of lodging
17. For minors: letter of permission from a parent/guardian
18. Passport-size photo taken within 3mos of application

VISA FOR VISITORS WITH OTHER PURPOSES (9a-8)
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant

6. Proof of financial capacity
7. Documents relative to the purpose of the visit
8. Hotel accommodation or proof of lodging
9. For minors: letter of permission from a parent/guardian

Unaccompanied Travel of Minors

If the traveller is less than 15 years old and will not be accompanied by either parent, he/she must apply for a Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG). Travelers who fall under this category who do not possess the WEG may be denied entry into the Philippines, even if they are accompanied by an adult other than their parent.
