  • GENERAL GUIDELINES ON VISA APPLICATION
  • Visa applicants are strongly advised to finalize their flight booking only after the visa is granted. The Embassy will not hasten the visa processing to accommodate the applicant’s flight schedule.
  • Visa processing time is dependent on the applicant’s nationality. For example, processing could be faster if the applicant’s country has a visa agreement with the Philippines. It usually takes about two to three weeks. For some applicants, evaluation will require a longer period of time.
  • Please note that no refund of visa application fee will be made if the visa application is denied or if the visa is approved after the applicant’s scheduled departure.
  • The Embassy has the sole discretion to deny the visa or to refuse service to any individual.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

BUSINESS VISITORS or 9(a-1):
A. For business owners
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant
2. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
3. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines – original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
4. Travel itinerary or ticket/flight reservation (entry and exit); please do not book your ticket yet
5. Invitation letter from a Philippine government or private entity or endorsem*nt from a chamber of commerce (recognized by host government) in the country where the business is located – original
6. Proof of business operations or income:business permit, license or registration AND bank statement of the latest three (3) months or tax payments
7. Hotel accommodation reservation or any proof of lodging

10. For minors not travelling with parent/guardian: letter of permission from the parent/guardian with proof of filiation; For escort: letter from the sending medical or wellness institution assigning the foreign national to escort the patient.

VISA FOR YACHTSMEN/SAILORS (9a-4)
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant
2. Passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized period of stay in the Philippines– original and 1 photocopy of the data and signature page/s
3. Duly-accomplished visa application from thePhilippine Online Visa Application System (OVAS)
4. Letter from the owner/captain indicating the following: port/area of entry, date of entry and period of stay, list of crew and passengers, particulars of the vessel including type, name, registration and call sign, boat insurance policy, cargo manifest, character reference/shipping agent in the Philippines (if any)
5. Passport-size photo taken within 3mos of application
6. Valid Seaman’s Book – original and 1 photocopy of the data page

VISA FOR FILM-MAKING VISITORS (9a-5)
1. Personal appearance of the visa applicant

Unaccompanied Travel of Minors

If the traveller is less than 15 years old and will not be accompanied by either parent, he/she must apply for a Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG). Travelers who fall under this category who do not possess the WEG may be denied entry into the Philippines, even if they are accompanied by an adult other than their parent.
