The gameplay beautifully simulates the bonding between a parent and a child, giving you the motivation to pursue the gameplay as much as you can. There’s also some strategy to the game, which involves collecting the items to support a child’s growth.
Nowadays, the game mainly revolves around collecting as many pets as possible, which you can trade with other users. While you can spend real-world money for Robux to buy pets, there are plenty of options that get you a few for free.

Starter Egg
Sir Woofington gives you the Starter Egg at the Nursery when you enter the game for the first time. There are objectives to complete to hatch the egg. Once you complete the objectives, you can choose between a cat and a dog.
Note that this starter pet can’t be traded, so think carefully before making a selection.
Star Rewards
You get some Star Rewards daily for logging into the game. These Stars accumulate over time, mainly if you stay logged into the game for a long time.
After a while, you can access your Star Rewards to see which pets are available for the taking based on the number of Stars you’ve accumulated.
For example, you need to collect 400 Stars to claim a toucan, and a starfish requires 550 Stars. Plus, there are some odd rewards, such as Rocket Racer, Blue Rider, or a didgeridoo.
Earning Money
This subtitle may lead you to believe that you need to spend actual money, but no, earning money within the game is similar to earning Star Rewards. You don’t need to spend real cash, which technically makes the eggs you buy with virtual tokens free.
To get some cash, you’ll need to meet specific objectives, get periodic paychecks, figure out the in-game money trees, etc. As said, the paychecks come your way from time to time, one about every 15 minutes of being active in the game, and there’s a neat trick to boost your earnings.
You can run the game in the background for a while, then only return to claim the check. There are also a few other hacks to boost your chances of getting free credit and rewards to exchange for pets.
- Log into the game at least once a day for as long as possible. This puts you on a winning streak and leads to more rewards.
- Log in for five consecutive days, and you’ll get bonus stars and a surprise gift.
- If you keep going for 30 days, the game awards you with a Cracked Egg.
- Completing a blue objective gives you six to seven tokens. These objectives are timed, so do them immediately when they pop up.
- Completing an orange objective leads to 12 tokens.
- Money trees are excellent because they grow money. The yield is usually eight tokens a day. If you have multiple trees, the max amount to collect is 100 tokens a day.
When you accumulate enough cash, you can go to the Nursery and get an egg. The higher the price, the more valuable the egg. Also, some special eggs only appear on certain occasions.
For example, an Ocean Egg was available at the time of this writing, and it set you back 750 tokens.
How to Get Free Legendary Pets in Adopt Me
Free legendary pets hide in secret locations, and you only need to find them. Keep in mind that this isn’t a hack but a strategic move from the game’s creators to incentivize you to keep exploring the game’s ecosystem.
So, where are the legends?
Location One
- Head to the hospital and goover the bridge.
- Once on the other side, go to the left to find a wooden house.
- Enter the home and find a hole that says, Nothing to see here.
- Go inside the vent near the hole and enter a hidden room featuring a legendary pet.
Location Two
- Navigate to the Exit, but don’t go over.
- Take your plunger and throw it across. Then, slowly move towards the Exit, trying to glitch into it.
- You’ll see a green wall in front of a grey wall.
- Go over both walls, and you’ll see different structures and mountains. There should also be a legendary egg.
These secret locations are undeveloped and uncharted parts of the game, so they might not always contain a legendary pet. Sometimes, you’ll just see glitches without any reward. Still, it pays to revisit the areas from time to time to see if you’ll get lucky.
How to Get Free Neon Pets in Adopt Me
Any pet in Adopt Me can be transformed into a neon one if you put a lot of TLC into it. You need four fully-grown pets of the same kind, take them to the Adoption Island, and get them into Nixie’s Cave. (The cave is under the bridge on the island.) Put the pets in the neon circles, and the four will be combined into one neon pet.
Note that you can’t get neon pets in secret locations, and there’s no hack to get your hands on such a pet using a hack.
Alternatively, the best way to get a free neon pet is to follow gamers who’re experts in the game. It’s not uncommon for them to give away a neon pet as part of a promotion or a competition.
Usually, you need to follow them on social media, like their content, or create something yourself.
Adopt Me Codes to Get Free Pets
Many users discuss Adopt Me codes and hacks that get you the most exclusive pets. However, you should know that these rarely work and may introduce malware to your computer. Understandably, these methods are compelling because they give you an advantage over other players; however, using one could result in your account getting banned.
As of May 2022, there are currently no active codes for Adopt Me, but that could change. That being said, it’s worth mentioning some codes that expired but might still appear across the web.

There are also no promo coupons for Adopt Me. If someone offers coupons in exchange for your credentials or asks you for a username and password, you’re likely being scammed.
