how do i start KEM farming???

KEM farming is a way to convert money to donuts. Building KEMS gets you XP which gets you Level-ups which gets you donut(s).
If you tell us your level and bonus % maybe we can help better. Basically turn on XP collider, build some KEMS, sell them, do it again.Whoa, whoa, whoa – I only accept cash, bitcoin, or GameStop stock.

I've never used the XP collider before because I didn't want to spend the donuts -

Even with a 123.95% bonus it is still going to be worth your while. Save up your IGC before you start, then pick a day when you can log in every 4 hours, turn on your collider (even just for 24 hours so you can see what it does), buy as many KEMs as you can, wait, harvest them all for their payout, sell them, do it again. It will astonish you how many donuts you get. Obviously the higher your bonus the more you get and the more IGC you invest the higher the return. Go for it.

I do 35 every 4 hours. With my 944.10% multiplier that gets me about 48 donuts a day. HOWEVER...
If you want to get serious about it you need some preparation. You need a steady income base so that your cash never goes down so that as you buy KEMs and second and third chances so that you get 3 donuts every time your cash still goes UP. So you generally need a Color House Farm (or 2 or 3 or...). I have small Blue and Orange house farms (24 each), a medium size Purple farm (51), and a huge White farm (147). I also have a large number of other duplicate buildings that I crafted in events, like Spooky Cabins and Zenith City buildings. And Lard Lad Donut shops. Lots of those. No, I didn't pay retail for them either - I got them cheap. How you ask?
Well this is the secret to KEM farming: every time you have 31 donuts you buy a Mr. Burns Mystery Box. That's 25 donuts you're saving to recharge the Collider, and 6 for the Mystery Box. The Burns Mystery Boxes repeat, paying out News Vans (2%+), Itchy&Scratchy Billboards (1%+), Lard Lads, donuts... and some junk that will actually help with your Conform-O-Meter if it isn't maxed out. If it IS maxed out you can sell the other stuff for a little cash, or keep it for decorating.
How do you afford a House Farm? One. Building. At. A. Time. (Oh-my-God-am-I-ever-going-to-have-enough-of-these-it's-been-weeks-it's-driving-me-crazy!) It takes a while. You have to be patient.
Need some land to put those buildings on? Got some free time? Springfield Heights. It's annoying, but it's a bunch of "free" land you can do with as you please. At one point I had more land in the Heights than in lower Springfield.

Personally, I didn't bother with all that faffing about. I turn on the collider and use every penny I have on buying KEMs, then selling them again 4 hours later. It is ridiculously time consuming, especially if you are buying about $1m worth at a time. I have a lot of spare.land. So, I only do it for a day or so then when the money has been recouped I do it again. My muptiplier is about 900 or so but it was only 117% when I started KEM farming. So worth his while.starting..Some.people limit themselves to buying a certain number of KEMs each day, but I don't. As far as I see.it, you are only limited by the amount of spare land you have, the amount of igc and the time you have to devote yourself to the grind. (I suppose though, if you only buy a certain number it is less of a grind but each to their own.) Anyway my point is there is no hard and fast rule on how you farm, experiment and see what works for you. Any donuts you spend on switching on your collider while.quickly be recouped.

If you can afford 24 KEMS each cycle then start there. The first 24 are the cheapest. Adjust the number up or down depending on your money. MAKE SURE you sell all other KEMS in your town be for you start. Your first KEM should cost 220 money.
You will level-up and get a donut for each 23 KEMS you build:

Whoa there! Never sell the original Kwik-E-Mart. Set it off somewhere away from your farming zone. Selling ALL the KEMs will result in losing Apu, and any characters doing a task associated with it will be released. I've also seen selling the original KEM cause problems with the game. I also post over in the Answers forum (where I used to be the equivalent of a Moderator before I quit).
Helpful hint: I don't complete the builds on my KEMs until I've sent all my characters on task. If any of them are in a KEM you sell they'll be released and you'll lose the income from those tasks.View My Answers profile

If you're going to bankrupt yourself then you're missing the point of KEM farming, which is to NOT bankrupt yourself while creating a steady transformation of game cash into donuts.
If you're going to bankrupt yourself you'd be better off Rat Trap Truck farming. You buy and sell them until you bankrupt and quickly make a batch of donuts. No waiting around 4 hours for KEMs to finish building or tying up property to put them on. You just need enough space for a couple of trucks and loads of game cash.
Also, it's nice that you have plenty of spare land but most poor players like me don't (well, I do NOW, but not back when I started). And when you're just starting out trying to buy the requisite buildings, characters, decorations, etc AND enough land to cram them all into while trying to churn out a few donuts... The advice of the Tortoise applies here: Slow and steady wins the race.

I've most certainly not bankrupted myself. I've not actually done any farming in months because the way I do it is a bit of a time.consuming grind but I am currently sitting at about 2000 donuts and approx 280,000,000 igc. I've not been farming as there is nothing for me to spend the donuts on. The combo of collider and having God on 24;hr tasks means I am currently rather flush financially. The point I was trying to make was there's more than one way to skin a cat and Billyjean07 should just go for it, experiment and see what works.best for the way that he/she plays.

I didn't write anything incorrect. When farming I use every penny I have. It doesn't take long to get the money back up, usually only a few days and as I have no other use for it I don't consider myself bankrupt. I'm in Scotland and like the rest of the world am looking on in horror at what is happening in the USA. Keep safe, and I'm sure we can agree you're gorgeous.

This may be a dialect issue. In America "to bankrupt" means to spend all your currency, real or imaginary, that you currently hold.
"I was going to spend the evening playing cards but I bankrupted on the second hand so I just came home." Now obviously I didn't hire a lawyer and declare bankruptcy in court, sell my home and car, etc. I just ran out of money in the game.View My Answers profile

The way I KEM farm is: I have defined my rainy day fund (1mil) and the I build KEMs in rows of 12 (3 map sections). As long as I have more money than my rainy day fund I start a new row. So the amount of rows depends on what time it is and what else has happened in the game. I play three to four 4h stints and then an 8hr stint for the night. So that's four or five collections of KEMs.
