When a craving hits, Taco Bell is the place to go for a quick, satisfying meal. It’s also one of the best fast-food chains for vegans, because of its customizable menu and animal-friendly offerings. For decades, PETA has urged popular fast-food chains to offer more plant-based options, and as a result, Taco Bell has frequently tested exciting new vegan menu offerings. In addition, many of its standard options are super-craveable and easy to order without ingredients that harm cows, pigs, chickens, or other animals. So until the Vegan Crunchwrap, Beyond Carne Asada Steak, and meatless Naked Chicken Chalupa are on menus nationwide, here’s how to order some of your favorite Taco Bell items vegan.
Here’s how to order vegan at Taco Bell:
Menu Item: Crunchwrap (or Double Decker Taco)
Ask for beans instead of beef, and say no tocheese and sour cream.
Menu Item: Bean Burrito or Black Bean Burrito
Order it fresco style. If you like, you can add potatoes and rice. Try guacamole on the side.
