(fan) Poison Dragon (2024)

Poison Dragonsare a sub-species of Dragon that live primarily in Swamps and Mesas (badlands), known for their ability to spray poison. These dragons have several attacks to catch and kill a tasty player.

Appearance[]

Likeother dragons, these Dragons are quadrupeds with wings, used for getting around, a large tail for killing, a frill at the back of their heads for intimidation, and have small spikes on their snout for... actually, no-one knows the reason for snout spikes on this dragon. This dragon has raised nostrils on the side of their snout andcome in Yellow, Peridot, and Rust colors.

Spawning[]

Poison Dragons spawn at stage 1-3 in Mesas and Swamps on roosts that are located on plateus in Mesas and on flat parts in Swamps. They can rarely be found deep underground in caverns at stage 4 or5.

Drops[]

The loot from any dragon generally depends on the stage of the dragon. All dragons alwaysdrop Dragon Bones and a Dragon Skull, but can Dragon Flesh, a Dragon Heart, and scales. You can also get dragon Blood by right-clicking a dead dragon with an empty bottle, but it'll reduce the ammount of flesh and scales that the Poison Dragon drops. The most important drop from a dragon is a Dragon egg, which can be harvested from a dead female stage 4 or 5 dragon. It may occasionally drop 2 eggs.

Behavior[]

Poison Dragons are hostile, attacking any mob, including the player,that comes close to it or it's treasure. They spawn hungry, so they hunt for prey, such as cows or sheep andcan see prey from 64 blocks away. Poison dragons' poison spray attacks can poison theground, inflicting nausea and poison I onto a mob that steps on this tainted soilor rock. They are often seen circling their roosts, which are covered in piles of Rusty Iron surroundingchests containing Peridots andrusted iron gear. They're diurnal, which means they're up at day and sleep at night. They can be woken up if a player breaks a pile of rusted iron or opens a nearby chest. When two male Poison Dragons encounter eachother in the wild, they open their frills and hiss at eachother to see which one is dominant, to avoid injury.

Abilities[]

Like the other dragons, Poison Dragons can fly swiftly, making meelee weapons like swords and axes almost useless. They are known to take to large bodies of water, making swimming useful for something other than to prank your friends. They also have the ability to poison anything that gets in the way of it's bad breath, inflicting poison IIIand nausea II for 15seconds. With this, they can't be stopped by unaviodable obsticles by just breaking through the blocks. They do that. This dragon has 10 natual attacks to kill it's prey, including the following:

• Roar: This attack is a loud roar.if used by a stage 4 or 5 dragoninflicts weakness Ito anything close enough to hear it for 14 seconds, unless they have earplugs. The frillopens up during this attack.
• Super Roar: Same as before, but the dragon opens it's frill, goes on it's hind legs andspreads it's wings to inflict weakness II for 14 seconds, unless the target is wearing earplugs.
• Venomous Bite: The dragon just bites the target, causing poison I for 5 seconds and can be used by stage 4 and 5 dragons.
• Bite: The dragon just bites the target.
• Grab-and-Shake: The dragon grabs it's target and starts shaking it like a glowstick at a concert, killingthe prey.
• Tail Whip: The dragon uses it's tail to smack the life out of it's target whilst dealing some knock-back.
• Wing Beat: If on the ground, the dragon beats it's wings at the target to blow it away.
• Poison Spray: The Poison Dragon sprays it's target with, well, poison, inflicting poison and nausea to the target.
• Sludge Bomb: The dragon charges it's shot and then launches a cube of poison in the target's direction, inflicting slowness I and poison I with a lingering potion-like coud. The cube also looks like a slime block.
• Areal Tackle: The Dragon dive-bombs onto it's target with out-stretched talons before striking.

Hatching[]

Wild Poison Dragons can't be tamed, and a tamed dragon can only be hatched. To start the hatching process, you must throw a lingering poison II bottle at it's egg.

Breeding[]

You must have a male and female Poison Dragon that are stage 4 or 5 to breed together with twoSwamp Lily Mixtures; one for each dragon. The female will make a nest to lay her egg in.

These can spawn in swamp biomes and can be looted.

Other[]

Poison Dragonsteel[]

This dragon can be used to make Poison Dragonsteel that makes you immune to poison if you wear the full armor set. The weapon and tools inflict poison 2 and wither 1 on anything that gets in your way. The sword does 25 damage.

Poison Dragonbone sword[]

This sword is made by putting a bottle of poison dragon blood with a dragonbone sword. It inflicts poison 1 on what it hits for 30 seconds and does 9.5 damage.
