Prosecco isn’t something I drink a ton of but I never say no to a glass, especially when it’s a holiday or a celebration like a wedding. With New Year’s Eve right around the corner, today I’m reviewing the Costco Kirkland Signature Asolo Prosecco.

Taste
This prosecco from Costco is high-quality D.O.C.G prosecco! In case you’re wondering what the D.O.C.G stands for it basically means that this is the highest quality prosecco because the grapes are grown on one of two steep hillsides in Italy and the production (pruning, picking the grapes, etc) is pretty much all done by hand.
The taste is crisp, light, refreshing and fruity. It’s not heavy or sweet and also has a ton of bubbles! I taste notes of apple, pear, peach, caramel and a very slight nutty flavor.
This prosecco looks beautiful in the glass. I find it’s not overly sweet for a Prosecco, which I appreciate. It’s still relatively sweet compared to a dry white wine, but less sweet than most Proseccos.
Cost
I paid $10.79 Canadian for this bottle of prosecco at Costco in 2019. The current price is $11.99 Canadian at my Costco. Although the price has increased I still think it’s a great deal.
Serving Suggestions
I think this is great for any kind of celebratory event, like New Year’s Eve, a wedding, bridal shower, baby shower or party. This prosecco works well in mixed drinks, like mimosas or with a splash of cranberry juice and a shot of raspberry vodka! It can also be enjoyed just by itself.

I can’t say this is my absolute favorite Costco liquor store item but that may be because I’m just not a huge prosecco fan! I do enjoy a glass or two of it and would buy it if I knew I was hosting a celebration or had guests who enjoy prosecco.
