Technical Assessment: Neutral in the Intermediate-Term
Tuesday was another risk-off day. Losses for the small-, mid-, and mega-cap indices were between 0.6% to 1.4%. The 11 S&P 500 (SPX) sectors reflected the risk-off mood, with Consumer Staples (XLP +1.1%) the only sector to rise, while Utilities (XLU) and Real Estate (XLRE) booked tiny losses. The biggest losses were from Technology (XLK -1%), with Consumer Discretionary (XLY) and Energy (XLE) both off 0.9%. The market is probably in wait-and-see mode ahead of some monster quarterly reports this week.

Market Digest: MKL, CHH, COF, DFS, HIG, LNT, MAN, TWLO, FOXA
We've seen growing evidence of rotation away from mega-cap tech. Indeed, even a textbook 'impressive' beat can lead to a 'sell the news' reaction for these stocks. Betting on more near-term upside from these stocks, no matter what they report, is a tough technical game as they all have extreme 14-day and 14-week Relative Strength Index (RSI) readings in the high 70s to mid-80s.

Analyst Report: Caesars Entertainment, Inc.
Caesars Entertainment includes about 50 domestic gaming properties across Las Vegas (58% of 2022 EBITDAR before corporate and digital expenses) and regional (59%) markets. Additionally, the company hosts managed properties and digital assets, the later of which produced material EBITDA losses in 2022. Caesars' U.S. presence roughly doubled with the 2020 acquisition by Eldorado, which built its first casino in Reno, Nevada, in 1973 and expanded its presence through prior acquisitions to over 20 properties before merging with legacy Caesars. Caesars' brands include Caesars, Harrah’s, Tropicana, Bally’s, Isle, and Flamingo. Also, the company owns the U.S. portion of William Hill (it sold the international operation in 2022), a digital sports betting platform.
