Most of us love coffee and as a coffee lover, I am glad to share that coffee is believed to be the most consumed drink globally after water. Around the globe, we drink more than 1.4 billion cups of coffee per day . So what does your cup of coffee tells about you? Recently a research was conducted to explore the behaviors, habits, and personality of coffee drinkers and it revealed that the types of coffee people usually drink could be associated with their psychological styles and personality traits. It also disclosed the common attributes of people who enjoy certain types of coffee.
According to Ramani Durvasula, PhD Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Professor of Psychology This concept has been based on an observation and a survey of over 1,000 coffee drinkers. The survey assessed the common personality styles and traits (including introversion/extraversion, patience, perfectionism, warmth, vigilance, sensitivity, social boldness among others )of these coffee drinkers.
You’ve probably never thought twice about the kind of coffee you drink. Some of us have been drinking the same coffee for years, and it’s just a matter of liking — right? But you will be surprised to know the association of certain personality type with your favourite cup, in my case mug of coffee.
Black coffee
You are a no-nonsense person and you take control and move ahead no matter what others are doing. People can always depend on you. Your biggest problem is filtering the thoughts that pop in your head and flows out of your mouth. You call it as you see it and you cannot be swayed. The black coffee drinker can be quiet and moody but prone to brief bursts of extroversion.
