Adjectives are usually placed before the nouns they describe, as in the examples, tall man and easy assignment, above. Adjectives may also follow the noun they describe. Gender and Number of French Adjectives

1) Masculine singular is the default form, to which the feminine and/or plural endings are added. For regular adjectives,** these endings are -e for feminine and -s for plural. 2) When the masculine adjective ends in -s or -x, the masculine singular and plural forms are the same.

Formation of French adverbs

The usual way to form an adverb is to take the feminine form of an adjective and add "-ment" at the end. Here is how it works: For masculine adjectives that end in "-e", simply add "-ment" to the adjective. If a masculine adjective does not end in "-e", use its feminine form and add "-ment".
