Buffalo Wild Wings, as many know, is famous for serving wings with sauces that range from sweet to very spicy.
There are three sauces that are the most popular -- the Medium, the Honey BBQ and the Parmesan Garlic.
"The Honey BBQ is not too spicy. It's got a good medium and a lot of people like the barbecue flavor," said assistant manager Alexis Griffin. "The Medium is probably our top one and it is our classic wing sauce we use in almost all of our foods. It's not too spicy, and it's a very good medium and our go-to sauce."
Within the scale of sauces, the least spicy wings are the Sweet BBQ and the spiciest one is the Blazin' that has hints of ghost pepper in it, which is what gives it the extra heat.
Griffin's personal favorite wings are ones categorized within the most popular ones: the Parmesan Garlic.
"I've been eating hot wings all my life, so this is a different type of sauce, something that not most people are used to," she said. "It's not too spicy and it has a really good flavor."
Even though her personal favorite is the Parmesan Garlic, Griffin recommends people to try the Honey BBQ wings because of their varied flavor.
The menu at Buffalo Wild Wings is pretty constant when it comes to the wings it offers. However, there are some sauces incorporated every now and then into the insert menu to see if they could be a permanent addition to the regular menu.
"It's called 'sauce lab.' Right now we have the Korean BBQ featured," Griffin said. "We keep it for about three months, and then we switch it again."
The Korean BBQ has been out for almost two weeks and even though they are not officially on the menu people have been getting them with a high frequency.
The Korean BBQ and the Salted Caramel BBQ are the two sauces being tested and will remain in the insert menu for a period of three months to see whether people like them enough to vote for them so they can be added into the menu.
"Eventually some of the wings from our 'sauce lab' get voted in and are put on the menu," Griffin said. "The Bourbon Honey Mustard was one of our 'sauce lab' sauces and everyone loved it, people voted for it and we put it on the menu."
To vote, people can visit the buffalowildwings.com website and select the sauce they would want to be added permanently into the regular menu. Buffalo Wild Wings in Houma is located at 1783 Martin Luther King Blvd.
