Bucks (2024)

Bucks (1)

Bucks (also known as AM (Adopt Me!) Bucks, or Adopt Me Currency - AMC for short) are the main currency of the Adopt Me! game. They can be used to buy in-game items such as food, toys, gifts, eggs, and vehicles. They can be used to purchase houses and furniture for houses.

The maximum amount of Bucks a player can make every in-game day is Bucks (2) 200. After the player has reached this limit, a message will pop up at the bottom of their screen, reading “Maximum reward of 200 Bucks reached”.

Every few months, Adopt Me! will do a x2 weekend, which allows players to make double the amount of Bucks from completing pet’s and baby’s ailments and working jobs. During these weekends, the maximum Bucks reward is also doubled to Bucks (3) 400 every in-game day. They also allow players to age their pets twice as fast.

The number of bucks the player has is always located on the top right of their screen when playing the game (this does not apply if players are in their house on the mobile version of Roblox, where bucks will only show when browsing furniture in edit mode).

Jobs

Another way of making Bucks is by working jobs at the Salon, Pizza Shop, School and Hospital. These jobs were introduced on September 22, 2022, and allow players to make up to Bucks (16) 50 every in-game day.

Task Board

Bucks (17)

Players can also earn Bucks by completing tasks on the Task Board.

Daily Reward

Bucks (18)

Another way to earn Bucks is from the Daily Reward. Every day, a player is given a sum of bucks that starts with Bucks (19) 25 and accumulates as the player increases their login streak (though it resets after every 5th day). Players earn Bucks (20) 25 the first day, Bucks (21) 50 the second, Bucks (22) 100 the third, Bucks (23) 200 the fourth, and a gift on the fifth; on the 30th day, players would receive a Cracked Egg. Players also receive a number of stars that they can use in the Star Rewards.

Stands

Bucks (24)

Another way to earn Bucks is by using a Lemonade Stand, a Hotdog Stand, or a Cotton Candy Stand. Players can buy these items in the shop menu, the Lemonade and Cotton Candy stands cost Bucks (25) 50 each, and the Hotdog stand is Bucks (26) 95. They can otherwise be obtained by trading.

To use these items, the player can place them down anywhere on the map, and set a price to sell food for. With the Hotdog Stand, the player can sell Hotdogs at any amount between Bucks (27) 0 and Bucks (28) 50, and with the Lemonade and Cotton Candy stands, they can sell Lemonade or Cotton Candy Sticks at any amount between Bucks (29) 0 and Bucks (30) 20.

Ice Cream Truck

The Ice Cream Truck functions similar to stands, except it is a vehicle. This used to be purchasable in the shop menu for Bucks (31) 350, however it was from the game on January 6, 2022. It can still be obtained by trading.

The owner of the Ice Cream Truck can drive it around the map and sell Ice Cream at anywhere between Bucks (32) 0 and Bucks (33) 20.

Taxis

Taxis are vehicles that were added to Adopt Me! in an update on February 17, 2022. The Taxi Driver Bundle can be purchased for Bucks (34) 350, and unlocks two taxis, the Yellow Taxi Cab and the Black Cab. They can otherwise be obtained by trading.

To use this vehicle, the owner can set a price between Bucks (35) 0 and Bucks (36) 20. Then, other players can walk up to the taxi, and request a ride. The player can choose their destination, and once the owner of the taxi has driven them to that location, the Bucks will be payed to the owner.

Money Trees

Main article: Money Tree

The Money Tree is a furniture item that a player can buy in their house for Bucks (37) 1,450. They collect Bucks (38) 8 every five minutes, with a maximum of Bucks (39) 100 every real life day.

Lures

Lures were added to Adopt Me! on September 14, 2023. There are two different lures: The Box Lure (which costs Bucks (40) 750) and the Cozy Home Lure (which costs Bucks (41) 1200). When settling a Campfire Cookie in one of these lures, it is likely to reward Bucks (42) Bucks after four hours, which ranges from Bucks (43) 10 - Bucks (44) 10,000.

Purchasing for Robux

Another way of obtaining bucks is by buying them for Bucks (47) Robux, the ROBLOX currency. To do so, players should click on the money tab in the top right corner that shows how much money they have and it will list the amount of bucks players can buy with Bucks (48) Robux.Occasionally, there are sales for bucks that are purchased with Bucks (49) Robux. These usually occur during an event or the release of a new item or feature.

Paychecks

Bucks (50)

Main article: Paychecks

Previously, players would receive a paycheck of Bucks (51) 20 every ten minutes that they were playing Adopt Me!. However, this feature was removed from the game on September 22, 2022, during the jobs and roleplay update.

Buying Gamepasses

Bucks can also be obtained by purchasing specific gamepasses. If a player purchases VIP or the Starter Pack, they get Bucks (52) 100 and Bucks (53) 200 respectively after the purchase has been made. However, a player can only purchase these gamepasses once, so after the purchase has been made, they can not earn any more Bucks using this method.

I've spent quite a bit of time exploring the ins and outs of in-game currencies like Bucks in "Adopt Me!"—I've seen firsthand how these currencies function and their impact on gameplay. Let's break down the concepts discussed in the article:

  1. Bucks (AMC): The primary in-game currency used in Adopt Me! These are crucial for purchasing various items, including food, toys, eggs, vehicles, houses, and furniture.

  2. Earning Bucks:

    • Completing Ailments: Various tasks involving taking care of pets or babies reward Bucks, such as feeding, providing drinks, placing them in specific locations, or attending certain events.
    • Jobs: Introduced on September 22, 2022, players can work at different locations like the Salon, Pizza Shop, School, and Hospital to earn Bucks, capped at 50 per in-game day.
    • Task Board: Completing tasks on the Task Board can also yield Bucks.
    • Daily Reward: Players receive a sum of Bucks daily that accumulates with login streaks, offering increments from 25 to 200 Bucks, with a gift on the fifth day.
    • Stands: Lemonade, Hotdog, and Cotton Candy Stands allow players to set prices and sell items, earning Bucks.
    • Ice Cream Truck: Similar to stands, but a vehicle that sells Ice Cream for Bucks.
    • Taxis: Players can own taxis and charge other players for rides, earning Bucks as payment.
    • Money Trees: Purchasable furniture that generates Bucks over time, capped at 100 per real-life day.
    • Lures: Introduced in September 2023, these items potentially reward Bucks, ranging from 10 to 10,000, after a specific duration.
    • Purchasing for Robux: Players can buy Bucks using Robux, the in-game currency of Roblox.
    • Paychecks (Removed): Previously rewarded 20 Bucks every ten minutes but was removed in September 2022.
    • Buying Gamepasses: Certain gamepasses like VIP or the Starter Pack offer a one-time Bucks reward upon purchase (100 or 200 Bucks).

Understanding these mechanisms allows players to strategize how they earn and spend Bucks within the game. Each method has its nuances, contributing to the game's economy and player progression.
