A Dog’s Purpose celebrates humanities best friend while delivering a superb storytelling experience. Not only do we learn about life’s purpose for our fur-covered friends, but possibly the meaning of our life’s as well. ‘A Dog’s Purpose’ follows the stories of one dog and it’s owners throughout the years as its mind is reincarnated into a new body every time it passes. If you’re a dog person, this movie is going to wreck you emotionally more than a few times. I was moved, but I wasn’t crying rivers like everyone else in the theater, I tend to sweat from my eyes when other human beings die in films.

So before I spoil too much, here are 3 Lessons you’ll learn from the dog movie about life, A Dog’s Purpose:

1. Don’t Live Your Life Alone:

During the film, we see the stories of some people who own dogs to keep them company, but still aren’t happy because they live by themselves, and contemplate whether or not they’ll find someone to love. Without spoiling what happens, we see the impact of being with someone you love has on people’s live’s through the eyes of a dog.

2. Live Your Life To TheFullest:

During the film, we see the lives of some hopefuls who regret not following their dreams or are trapped with a job their not happy with. While there could be many different ways you can interpret what the meaning of life must be after watching this film, I think the message is life is short, so treat every moment as if it’s your last.

3. Treat Animals With Respect And Care:

This one is the most important. A wise dog never forgets, and dogs, cats, and other domestic animals will always treat you with love ( maybe not cats ), so why hurt them? While there isn’t a cruelness towards animals shown in the film, there is a lack of acknowledgment in one of the stories that made me more want to go home and hug all of my pets.

In line with this profound understanding of animals’ affection, it becomes crucial to extend our respect and care beyond mere emotional support. We also need to consider their physical wellbeing too, especially in terms of nutrition and safety. Choosing the right pet food is not just about feeding; it’s about nourishing. And keeping them safe is a key responsibility of pet owners. When we acknowledge their needs and show our gratitude for the unconditional love they offer us, it strengthens the bond between us even more.

A Dog’s Purpose is a good movie, but requires a certain type of viewer. It’s mostly a feel-good type of film, and if you’re a dog person, I repeat, you will be crying your eyes out. I personally enjoyed it and didn’t see any major flaws besides the scenes where they were showing situations through a dog’s point of view, I can understand the ambition behind it, but it gave me temporary motion sickness at times. Albeit, it was rarely done in the movie. So if you’re looking for something cool to watch this weekend, check out A Dog’s Purpose, now in theaters.
